That's cool, everyone should do what works for them... but people get scared when someone suggests something "outside the box"... You mention eating once or even twice a day to a "fitness professional" or even a doctor and they give you the

. Imagine if athletes were still afraid to lift weights because "all that muscle will slow you down". Or the "all fat is bad" shit that doctors peddled for years

. Conventional wisdom is often just plain wrong.
I suggest people try it (eating less) out, and make a decision for themselves. My introduction came a few years ago because a guy I play ball with is in his mid 60's, shredded and still running with the young 20-40 yr olds and more than holding his own. He and his wife both look 20 yrs younger than they are and swear by one healthy meal a day, from their days in the NOI. I had a thread about it:

I tried it out, and after adjusting, I was

. My wife saw me leaning out and flexing more than usual and got with the program to help lose some of her baby weight after our first child in 2006 and she was looking like she was 18 again. I have 3 kids under age 5 right now

. After each pregnancy (she ate more while pregnant) she returned to one meal, tightened up and next thing you know, we have a minivan.
I've done a lot of reading on calorie restriction and hope to reap the benefits and will be able fuck up some young guns when I'm 60. It hurts when a man getting social security hits you with the crossover
Everybody has to do whats best for them, but we shouldn't be afraid to
try something new especially when there is so much evidence that it (eating less) is not only good for your longevity, but can also be good for your vanity depending on your goals. If you want to look like Ronnie Coleman... you're gonna need several meals a day and horse steroids.... but if you want the lean, muscular look that most people are after, intermittent fasting can be your method or just a tool...Check out and
eatstopeat.com and its creator, Brad Pilon. His program revolves around 1-2 24hr fasts/week and eating "regularly" on the other days.
I like the simplicity of eating once a day. We just eat a healthy dinner and we're good. We eat higher quality food because we don't have to buy as much as if we were eating 5-6 times. And I enjoy and appreciate my food more than when I was younger. I'm a convert and I swear by it.
