HBO:The Night of..Official Discussion Thread

I don't think the amount of times she was stabbed really materd, but they are fixated on it

My money is on, step dad, Bodies homie, and then the mortician

We need a damn poll going lol

nah! stabs = her age is a tell that the killer knew her. NO COINCIDENCE!
1) Step-Dad is too easy, unless the fact that he was never pursued as a suspect & it's on Stone & Chandra to prove his guilt is what the show ends up being about.

2) Bodie's homie but where was Bodie while this was going on? And Bodie would have NEVER showed up afterwards. Stroll thru a murder scene with work in your pockets?

3) Mortician would have had to follow them to the river, wait for them to get familiar and them follow them to her crib, all the time NOT being noticed? His words to her after flicking cig @ gas pumps was just foreshadow.

2 choices; Nas gets railroaded or Stone & Chandra prove it's step-Dad & get a new lease on life as NYC attorneys vs. their oppressors (Stone vs. his own reputation & Chandra vs. the firm that uses her as a prop/java fetcher).

I think we can rule out Naz being the killer. As many times as she was stabbed and all that blood splatter, it would be impossible for him to not get blood on himself.

can't help but notice how bad this show turned after the first few episodes... the first episode had me thinking this might be one of the best shows to come around in a long time and then it sort of turned into OZ light with some wire and soprano characters sprinkled in... I am already fully invested but i definitely think that they left a lot to be desired.

All that being said, I don't think it could be the obvious stepfather or the duane reed dude. that would be too easy.

so far I dont think its that bad.. it could go either way depending on how they round the whole show up....

it still keeps me coming back...

I don't think it's bad, but certain stuff does irritate me and doesn't make sense.

The feet shit is annoying to me.

There were flashes of light meaning he was possibly knocked out or killed, similar to the ending of the Soprano's.

I may have overanalyzed but the flashes of bright light I thought meant something....apparently it meant nothing.

Just a weird way to end the episode especially since it had no meaning.
Late to the show/discussion, but I thought the flashes were related to the weird shit he was doing at the beginning of the episode.:dunno:

Naz about to get some pumpum from his attorney? Cat that was punking Petey got what he deserved... Doesn't look like they're going to solve this in 1 more ep though, I guess they're going to drag it out and try to squeeze a season 2 out of it.

om Kodi yet or just HBO?

Good episode, The detective fucked up and now Manhattan Masala got in his head about not following up all the leads. He the type of police that don't want to leave the job with a question mark in his head.

The D.A. chick had doubts from the beginning about Bodie being alone that night. So wheels probably spinning in her head now too.

The pathologist basically proved that someone else COULD have done it with a different knife AND that they wouldn't have noticed Nas was still in the crib if he/she went straight upstairs. All they need to establish now is reasonable doubt that Nas Didn't do it.

Exactly, falling asleep in the kitchen is what saved his life

Not sure, I caught it on HBO. I'm sure you cable cutter cats should have it shortly

complained to ATT/DirecTV about my reception & got HBO FREE for 3 mos. so I ain't as thirsty (hanging in the TV lounge like a barfly):D

I was thinking Manhattan Masala (I like that dawilleyone!) wasn't giving a good defense (weak cross, etc) & wanted Stone to step in (can he?) but she gave Nas reason to hope! -and it's on tape!!
He seems to be liking that prison life tho~
If/when he gets out he'll still need to keep in touch with Freddy due to his long reach beyond the cell bars.

*edit- I still have to get Ray Donovan (Showtime), Power (Starz) & add Ballers (HBO) to my season collection to binge later, so to the TV lounge I go...

his lawyers did a good job of discrediting the DA and PD investigation and work on this case. proving your innocence in this judicial system really destructive on those that care for you, this show has really highlighted this aspect

what about the other body they found stabbed to death in similar fashion, why isnt Lock isnt inquisitive about a possible connection

I'm at a loss right now.

I don't have anymore theories, just waiting to see how it turns out

Ok, sorry Leroy, lol. Nevertheless, remember it's only based on that show and it doesn't mean the writers are going to follow that to the letter (Just the same I deleted it).

you didn't spoil anything for me...I saw the other show weeks ago...and it is playing out fairly similar...be fair to others tho...it was the decent thing to take the post down

Is that what the kiss was about? Just to keep his spirits up, since even his own mother thinks he did it?
