Dude was getting his ass beat and raped, that's why he always looks fucked up.

the story is trying to elude to the fact he always had a little thug in him..

when he told the story of pushing dude down the steps, and was only concerned bout what his moms thought, and aint give a fuck about the dude he pushed down the steps,

he also mentioned how easy it was to do...

its like he always had it in him, just his enviorment kept it contained...

if the prosecutor finds out he is smuggling and smoking coke, his mountain gonna be a whole lot harder to climb..

next episode should reveal a lot more details about that night...

and the white lady at the end of the last episode was that the victims moms working out, with the big ass smile on her face?????

victims mother died - the victim wasn't going to allow step dad to get shit -thats the motive for step dad to kill the victim

we're on part 6 of an 8 part set.
will it be solved by part 8 or will it go on to season 2?
maybe like "True Detective" it will be a new case in Season 2 but will follow Stone deeper into NYC underbelly world.

The show may just be a view into NYC criminal justice so the key is showing how the one who seems innocent gets caught.

Step-Dad did it, which the cops never really considered due to laziness and profiling tendencies, even and especially the "subtle beast". The prosecutor is a female Columbo, and that's being nice!

I tend to agree with you about the Step-Dad and the cops. You are being very kind in regards to the female prosecutor being like "Columbo" (Thinking about her scene with the Medical Examiner and how she was "prepping" him for court)!

Maybe but to stab someone up like that is pure rage and hate. Stepdad put in a lot of work to get at mom, I see him being the one.

And he's at court to see nas go down so he can get the house and doe.

Even a hired killer won't stab someone up like that.

Yeah the way she was killed did seem like a crime of passion. But when I think about it and remember certain scenes I still think Duane is the killer. Remember when Nas first encountered Duane and [Bodie from the Wire] outside her apartment? The way Duane was looking at them seemed kind of intense. Maybe it was a hatred for an Arab or something. Then fast forward to when the step dad had to identify the body. His reaction to seeing it. It is almost as if he was shocked at how brutal it was. So I was thinking he hired Duane to kill her but didn't think he would go HAM on her like that.

Again, just my theory.

P.S. Indian lawyer got some nice legs.

That kid was actually in the first episode as well. He was in a cell. They made a point of showing his face during that episode.

Yeah, he was in the cell with the other guy talking about who was better, Lebron or Kobe.

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about the creepy mortician and all that cryptic, Judges 16/Samson and Delilah shit.

Also, I liked how John Stone broke down which jurors they didn't want vs the ones they did. Especially when he said that they wanted "young, urban women" because they didn't care about anyone's opinion but their own!

File open for review:

Amara Karan
Amara was born to Sri Lankan parents who had moved to England from Zambia to further her father's work opportunities. She went to the Wimbledon High School and, although she enjoyed drama, she regarded acting as a risky profession and studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University, graduating with a 2:1 degree.

She then spent two years working in the City of London dealing in mergers and acquisitions. Whilst at Oxford she had directed and appeared in plays and finally decided to go to drama school. Within a month of graduation she was auditioning for Wes Anderson's film 'The Darjeeling Limited'.

When Nas gets out she'll be waiting for him.
He'll call it "The Night of My Release"

With his new prison training he'll have her hanging out the window, smoking afterwards!

Bodie could have done it... Bodie and his man. From jump that's been the one thing that didn't sit well with me, the fact that he's some supposedly some hood nigga and he just decided to cooperate with police. Just my opinion

interesting, but after what you wrote and even tho like a poster alluded to, it could be a pump fake,

Im leaning towards the step dad.... right now it seems he has the most to gain..

but you could be right..... many times the criminal always return to the scene of the crime..

I've never liked the step dad from jump, it's very possible that he did it or hired someone to do it. He's got motive and has been acting suspect from jump

The writing kinda sucks.

Stone is just now finding out the house is worth millions?

They're still interviewing potential suspects before trial?

stone knows the system and has learned some tricks due to long term court experience but he still is a step or 2 above a public defender and the chic is just green af

he didnt decide to cooperate. remember, he showed up on the scene after she was killed. he was high and started talking about Naz. The cop overheard his comments and had him taken to the station. While at the station, he lied and said he was alone. He gave the other lawyer his statement as a potential witness. So John found out that bodie wasnt alone, which he lied about and told him what the consequences were for committing perjury.

I'm still stuck on the victim knew the killer. Why else would they mention she was stabbed or slashed the exact number of years she was alive? Coincidence?

I don't think the amount of times she was stabbed really materd, but they are fixated on it

My money is on, step dad, Bodies homie, and then the mortician

We need a damn poll going lol

Well he had to say he was alone, dude he was with has warrants and the cooperation shit wasn't going to fly. It would be some shit if Bodie turns up stabbed up in the same manner now that Stone went to dude he was with and said he was talking.

I think they're pushing it because they want to spin it as a crime of passion from a cat that can easily lose control
