Real talk this season is WAY BETTER than season 1....now i realize they had to build up to it.....but man...

Liv Tyler walking up in there exposing her bush ...man....hell i would have got a hard on in 2 seconds

Just caught up on this season

They really going in a different direction now that they aren't constrained by the source material. The thing that really intrigues me about the show (and book I guess) is the portrayal of the different kinds of organizations and movements that would spring up after such a catastrophic and unexplained event takes place. I find myself saying "yeah, that's probably what would happen". The turning of the town into a National Park and ultimate tourist trap is just something only America would do

Only issue with this season is they seem to be jumping around a bit with the timeline and flashbacks which is kind of jarring. I'm hoping they've finished that now.

If they ever reveal what this shit is about... I might stop watch lol
I have to watch each episode twice this season. A lot of shit going on.. A lot of questions.
I'm sticking in there though! Can't wait to watch tonight..

Wait, so that's a real ghost? Seems like she's talking alot of stuff, dude wouldn't/shouldn't know.

They both keep leavin the baby alone :hmm:

This nigga tried to off himself:smh:

So old black dude knows your pain?

Cac in the crazy tower can see ghost or he assumes?

Ghost bitch -"17yrs and he didn't ask me to shit on him "

Would they have disappeared had they not gone out?

She pulled a dark19 on him, cuff it so he don't flee

THis is episode was the very deifinition of "I am having a bad day" Damn! I am with everyone on this thread in that I'm waiting for the punchline. Now we have a pregnant vegetable and her husband is off to get eggs/shit/piss/rotten food thrown at him while he's chained up like a slave. Oh, and why is the brother hating?!? Burning peoples' cribs and shit! I already don't like his character. WTF....

He's mad at the bs they have to deal with in the area. Bumass people outside.

Yeah this episode was a trip. Kinda reminds me of the casino episode last season.

My theory with the brother is that he knows someone who from the town who actually did disappear but he can't tell anyone about it. Probably connected to those charges he caught.

They keep it crazy don't they. Nora was tripping because she started to believe she might be causing people to disappear just by being around. She was relieved when she heard the theory about the Demon because she knew that was just some ole B.S. that wasn't true.

It's kinda weird how Regina King's character had to tell off the whole town about all their crazy superstitions, but then she had one of her own that was just as crazy.

This season is kind of a mirror of the first season. In season 1, everyone was traumatized by what was happening when the departure happened. The people in Jardin are all fucked up over the fact that no one departed in their town and they can't explain it.

Wanna add that Regina King is looking crazy good and acting her ass off in this show. Hard to believe she can do this kind of stuff and then do the voices of both Huey and Riley Freeman on boondocks.

I was thinking the same thing while watching this. It also dawned on me how long she's been in the game. Sista is definitely a living legend.

It would make a tight episode if everyone who disappeared somehow got sent to another reality in the same space. And they are going around believing that everyone who was left in the current universe disappeared in theirs.

There was a Star Trek episode similar to that

Looking outstanding and acted her ass off in some really great scenes

I thought this too. To add to it, maybe the other dimension is a more positive, optimistic one. It seems like the world we see is a nihilistic reality.

I been thinking about the girls disappearance and I got thoughts and questions.

The girls had been going to the lake/quarry to swim previously so that was nothing new. The only difference other than time of day was the fact that Kevin was there presumably to drown himself.

So that leads me to two possibilities.

1 That the girls just were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The water was disappeared to save Kevin and the girls just got caught up in it. My question is why havent more people wondered about where the water went. And if true. What is special about Kevin

2. The other theory is based on the plot to "Little Cabin in the Woods". Thinking back to the first episode flashback to prehistory story of pregnant woman struggling to survive. The implication is that the Jarden lake was perhaps once the site of some type of ritual sacrifice or other rite.

Could the departure be part of some ancient pact with supernatural forces that required a regular sacrifice of some sort on the part of human race.

Thoughts?
