yeah to me the best part of that shit was the very beginning and the opening credit montage showing the history and evolution of the "minutemen" to the "watchmen" with Bob dylans 'Times are a changing" playing in the background...

Thats what I was thinking based on a few things:
Lady Trieus urgency for buying that couples property and land and her reaction to seeing the comet crashing to earth later,
Veidts reaction when he catapaulted the last batch of clones into the atmosphere, and the previews for next week show him strapping himself in....seems like he finally found an exit point from the dimension.

Ive never read the comic. This show is awesome.
yeah I've never read the comic, but I've been looking forward to this show every week.
I watched the movie and researched some of the plot points of the comic to have some context for the show.
I'm motivated to actually go get the novel. the fact that it's the only graphic novel to win a Pulitzer prize makes it even more intriguing
I know im missing so much context but im enjoying it nonetheless... I will follow the recap websites for more insight on symbolism and history im blind on.
Why are you watching the movie? The show ties directly into the comic not the movie.

OK, I watched it I forgot to comment because Disney Plus came out and I've been watching Gargolyes, Talespin, and X-men for HOURS.

In a very real way, Regina and Laurie are pulling a True Detective right in front of our eyes.
I don't get the complaint about her husband dude is a fucking good man. He has no faults AT ALL in any scene he's been in. Strong, honest, caring and he's got her wrapped around his finger. Strength ain't smacking people. It's not needing to shine and let others do it.
Lady True came with the I have a son for you also sell me the house OK all of this is mine. She is very intriguing and clearly fake.
Ozy is the same dude he always been lol. A prisoner always wanting more while causing destruction in his wake.
I knew Reeves could stand. Lady is doing the same thing to her daughter.
I'm along for the ride more than trying to predict this one. It doesn't last long enough imo

I love when Trent (and partner in crime Atticus) scores movies, always adds a extra dimension to the movie or show, interesting stuff.
I know I wasn't the only one that thought one of Veidt's launches was going to fall and hit Regina King's house

movie lacks almost all of the world building and history / context in the graphic novel thats being carried into the show...
eg: ep2 meta story about Hooded Justice means nothing to those that only saw the movie
