they make it guy friendly and thats dope...

dope show to cuddle to, and appreciate your significant other...

Saw the premiere episode before I cam in this thread and the sentiment about Molly is just what I thought. There was a little foreshadowing in the very beginning though so that may have swayed some viewers.

But yeah, Molly as issues. Remember that she acted all high and mighty when she found out some dirt about her own parents yet she was sleeping with a married man. She also seems to have a problem with not putting it out there. Not everything has to be said. Sometimes you have friends that may make decisions that you may not like. But if it is working for them, then you are suppose to be supportive. Issa overcame her issues at the party and rose to the occasion when she needed to. Issay was feeling better about herself....then along came Molly.

They keeping it real Too many sisters in corporate America

Be getting it in...few dont and they hit that glass ceiling fast..

I find this show entertaing and one of the few shows I actually laugh out loud..

Bruh when they popped them pills and went to that live event

One of the funniest shit I seen on the tube..

And the chemistry between the two main characters is off the chain...

I don't think they will ever top the first season tho...
That 1st season was Platinum!

I agree but damn, she asked the man a couple of questions to open up and he got moist! That was on him, he even said it was on him.

I wouldn’t deal with her either though.

Co-sign both points

yeah his reaction to the line of question was overboard but at least he recognized that, took accountability and addressed it with her later...
Noticed she did the same thing with the Brotha at her workplace, so looks like there might be some incremental growth happening with bof of them

I think she mentioned something about Plan B when talking to Molly the day after

glad that shits never happened to me
A niggas always been so paranoid about having rugrats that I always pull out
even with a condom on

There’s always “Plan C”!

Yeah it does look like some growth, but the Brotha at work wants no parts of her!

It happened to me once and I had a moment like Issa where I had to pull that condom out of me, in the bathroom, fucking disgusted lol.

I've only taken Plan B once, though. Neva again...

So I have a theory so hear me out.

You know how in the first episode we saw some foreshadowing in the first scene when Issa was on the phone saying she don't fuck with Molly anymore? We all were assuming Molly is the problem based on her comment about Issa working with Lawrence's current GF. Well, what if they fall out because it is really Issa that is the problem and Molly is right on how Issa's life is messy.

We now see Lawrence's reaction to the situation. He doesn't like it at all. It is one thing to try to be cordial to a business partner that is your ex's GF, but it is a whole 'nother level when you become "friends" with her and laugh at your ex's quirks. Also, Issa's has no discerning interest in TSA dude and he is merely dick-on-call and that turned into an "Oh shit" moment. I think Molly was starting to think that maybe Issa was on to something about her attitude, but when she got that call and dude admitted Molly was right, it may have made Molly go back to seeing how things can get really bad for Issa.

Btw, how many of you were happy to see Issa thirsting for Lawrence and was proud when he immediately shut her down. "Yeah, we can hang up now." is probably the coldest line of the show so far.

I definitely respect the insight!

I think Lawrence shut the phone call down because realistically, it would’ve been a forced conversation that both of them didn’t need. Issa was just gonna make smalltalk because that’s what people are “Supposed” to do. Lawrence just said Naaaah!

Also Molly was right about letting Issa know that she didn’t have to be messy but...

This can also be a sign of growth for Issa. She’s showing that her past emotions aren’t interfering with her future. Her and what’s her name work well together and they aren’t letting a man from her past interfere with that.

But it’s gonna interfere.

I agree, Lawrence had to shut that down.

He and Issa are cool, but they can't get cool cool because it's only going to get weirder and if they get too buddy budy around Condola, she gone ghost both of them.

It was more like "You and her can be friends, we just cool."

He had to draw the line.

She was making a joke about tsa dude becoming too much of a regular in her life (I had to let him go, my plan b was becoming my plan a).

The way the condom fell out, I just assumed they weren't going to go there with any type of pregnancy scare.

Of course, I could be wrong.

Condola full of shit lol Lawrence needs to run now while he can.
She was acting all buddy buddy even making nice with his ex etc. Tried to say he invited himself? lol
Couldn't have been me. I'd been like you're absolutely right. I did. But won't do that again.

Also at that point you slow things down. It's just cool to fuck and you look for a new woman while y'all just fucking.

Issa talking about she got the dude with potential and now someone is getting the benefits.
She said it took a lot of patience lol
Like she nurtured this nigga...when actually she chastised this nigga into a rut.
And while he was in this rut she cheated on him.
And then he woke up from his rut and started to do better. He paid attention he was ascending.

So the notion that someone else is reaping the benefits is hilarious because if she simply wouldn't have FUCKED SOMEONE ELSE she would be reaping the benefits lol

everyone I've seen has glossed over that fact.

So far the beef between Molly and Issa seems forced. I get small issues turn into big issues over time, but it's not even on the level of people growing apart. The things that are causing the rift are the same every episode.

I can see where that train of thought comes from and I don't think its completely wrong.

I will need to rewatch, but Lawrence probably would still be on the couch if Issa would not have did what she did. Some people won't move until they lose or are close to losing something they value. Lawrence wasn't a true bum by any means, but from what I can remember he may have lost motivation initially. People fall in love with the image they first knew of you and technically speaking if you lose apart of yourself in your partner's eyes you're not the person they loved. In Issa's case this lead to her cheating with someone she thought was more driven.

Even his best friend said he was bumming.
