Yeah Bruh... Lil cute sexy Jawn got me feeling some type of way :D

This ep was dope, made up for last week

The whole Issa/Daniel head thing is kind of corny. It's a tired stereotype that I'm shocked to see a show with a black cast and writer's room perpetuate. Black women are out here sucking dick, balls and some eating ass :dunno: Too much is being made of him nutting in her face, but it seems like the much ado they made about it was for the "I bet he's a real fucking gentleman" haymaker Lawrence threw during the argument.

Lawrence one of those sucka for love niggas man. He needs to be in a relationship, he knows nothing about just getting pussy.

I knew Molly was going to give up the pussy in the bathroom as soon as she got up, :smh:

Lastly, there will be NO carrot cake slander on my watch.

Old head had to put in the mouf work, cause dick DON'T work
Bruh have you've been watching the show at all?

Tonights episode was so on point that I almost clapped when it was over. That "my nigga" bit Issa did and when Molly said "niggas out here watching Pornhub thinking they can do that shit in real life had me rollin:lol::lol::roflmao: The scene where Issa and Daniel were on the phone was so on point because I know every man has been in that situation where you say something and the woman twist it all around and get mad and you're looking just like Daniel was like "huh" and they're just going off That thing with Molly is stupid and would never work because even if a couple has a open relationship the number rule is gonna be no fucking people we both know and especially are good friends with, now she sitting there looking stupid and finally seeing she is a side chick

from 18-25 I'd argue it down.
25+ I just don't even argue I state my case and then leave it in the air. if she a real person she gonna come back and apologize cause she got it all twisted. if she don't then good riddance.

The whole thing with Daniel would have made more sense to me if she hadn't went to a blow job class earlier in the show. I'm like what the fuck did ya'll talk about in that class?

Still laughing at Issa for calling Daniel petty. She cheated on her boyfriend. Told Daniel he was just a jump off, but now she feeling disrespected because Daniel tried to compare the two situations.

that's what happens
that crazy double standard shit is real man. and also the mini victim role. i can't stand that.

Have you? Who has Lawrence JUST did a pump and dump on without getting soft and pink after? Nigga almost cried in the car after his 3some fam
Cause man he ain't about that and he never tried to be. His friend is about that. Lawrence is just catching pussy cause he's a catch.
Issa finding out her pussy isn't made of gold that's where the problem is. She pouted last week cause niggas in her ho-tation weren't waiting on her to call them to fuck lol
that's the only reason she decided to go ahead and try and lock it down somewhat with daniel since she knows he likes her
but when she crashed the car looking at another nigga dick she tried to make it clear that they see other people and this and all that
daniel is the fool. he should be done with her like he pretended to be. shit remember she came at him at the little party like i don't want it to be weird and all this cause she thinks niggas supposed to be stuck on her. they not. you had a nigga stuck on you who was going through some shit and you discarded him.
his dreams were dying and he was severely depressed. help the nigga. don't throw it in his face that he is down and out and then cheat on him mentally then physically.
but that's too much like right.

and then a woman will be like she did help him by letting him stay there and all that like she did him a favor.

he fucked up realized he fucked up and really started trying to get his life together for them for them to have a life even went looking at rings and shit and that happened right when she decided to fuck daniel ANYWAY
and then he started making moves and getting himself together and becoming the man that she knew he could be and he wanted to be for her and she fucked it all up.

now she see him in the streets with the good job and shit and probably feel slighted like she put the time in and now he's all that when really it was the opposite.

i mean even when she brought up the bank teller he said she was nice which Issa was not to him. all it took was being nice to a nigga that's depressed lol

like it's hilarious

men supposed to be in tune with women give them all of the physical monetary and emotional support.
want us to share our feelings but never be in our feelings and also don't expect help with our feelings cause we not supposed to be in them though we gotta share them just to give them an update but not for actual help
and that's just supposed to be ok.

ALL FACTS! This episode had the timeline jumping since last night. That nigga Ice was fielding all kinds of bullshit tweets from women grabbing at straws to womansplain this shit

^^:smh::smh::rolleyes::rolleyes:

^^ :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

As for Lawrence, you'r right, son just isn't built for this shit :dunno: I hope he starts fresh with the shorty from work and keeps it pushing. They look like they're going to have him swoop in and save Issa, but fuck all that! I don't want to see that, 1. them working it out is going to make for boring TV and 2. shit just aint realistic IMO... not to mention the show is just funnier with her awkward misadventures

you see how absent of fact projections justify the foulness?
oh he was going to do this or that. the bank teller was on lawrence harder than daniel was on issa. remember issa hunted HIM DOWN not the other way around she sought out the dick.
bank teller was throwing pussy at him left and right and LAWRENCE mentioned he had a girlfriend something she never said to Daniel not once until he showed up and then she tried to play him cause she decided to choose Lawrence.

Being a bum while he works on his dreams that's what's up. that's it right there. if you with a woman who don't believe in your vision then she ain't the woman for you.
Like Issa believed in a cat who didn't go to college and is chasing a dream of being a big time music producer WHICH COULD HAPPEN over a dude with a degree chasing a dream to create an app.
even if his app ain't hitting he could land a job while it was. which he was in the process of doing even when she cheated...
went from best buy to the new spot and probably gonna keep climbing.
Lawrence need to just get a new circle of friends. Even Issa girl who's married husband was like "oh yea well you contributed cause she found the other guy trying to do something attractive" cool. he was depressed! lol
in one breath we can't say mental illness needs to be taken seriously and then in the next say oh fuck all that depression shit.

moving the goal post so much it's funny.

moving the goal post so much it's funny.

That sums it up perfectly. It's not news to me that women have trouble with accountability and simply owning their shit, but I'll be damned if this show isn't magnifying them. You're damned if you do, damned if you don't apparently.. and if roles were reversed?! Lawrence holding it down while she was depressed and figuring it out? Fam! Dude would have been all kinds of aint shit fuck niggas for throwing it in her face

ain't shit fuck nigga for throwing it in her face.
ain't shit for cheating on her when she was down
ain't shit for not helping her when she was down
ain't shit for acting like helping him was a favor
ain't shit for seeking out another woman to fuck
ain't shit for smiling in his face and trying to lie about it

you're always damned if you do and damned if you don't with SOME PEOPLE.

Last season when Molly was pressing niggas, the 1 cat confided in her and she dumped him
the other cat wasn't trying to be serious with her but she boxed him in a corner and he showed up to try and be a nice guy and she hated him for it.
this year ol boy has his entire life together but something not quite right she not quite feeling it
and instead wants to be the side piece to a marriage while talking about the sanctity of marriage lol

:eek2::eek2:APOLOGIZE!!!!!!!!!!:lol: That's very rare for a woman and when they do it's not a sincere "well I was wrong so i'm sorry/apologize", most times they will call/come and just try to start a regular conversation like the argument never happened, if they do apologize it's a halfhearted "well i'm sorry then"

Thank you gentlemen for sparing me from watching the 2nd season of that tepid show.

My lady watches it and from what she tells me it sounds like it's hitting all the standard plot points of a black relationship drama which is in spite how much the woman overtly fucked up it's always the man's fault....

Because he didn't 'man up'.

Or....

He was too masculine and wasn't sensitive to her needs.

Any excuse will do, as long as it isn't the woman's fault directly.

Also, women only want us to be sensitive when it comes to their needs their feelings and their issues. When it comes to our own we are suppose to be mechanical automatons.

*two cents*

Most of what you wrote doesn't apply the show. Issa said she specifically wanted to write a female character who cheated because she wanted to, not because of anything the guy did. She was advised against it because a choice like that runs the risk of the character being unlikable to the viewers. In most instances, the woman cheats because she was wronged in some way by the dude. Lawrence had been in a funk for years, but even after he got his shit together she still cheated. He even turned down Tasha's advances. A lot of female viewers have taken her side, but she was clearly in the wrong. Lawrence's only mistake this season is that he keeps jumping into relationships when he's obviously not over Issa.

don't ever be down or depressed or in a rut. don't be a human if you're a man.

That was on Issa for not helping him more or building him up for something better during that time. My husband and I dealt with a job loss from him earlier on - I knew he felt like trash during that time. The last thing he needed to hear from me is, "Nigga this, Nigga that." I helped with his resume, asked around for opportunities... Shit, I even did mock interviews and shit with him. If she had an issue with him, she should have spoken up and physically done something about it - otherwise, you're just an enabler. But, this isn't just a black woman thing - it's a woman thing. Lots of us just sulk in silence and don't say shit. I'm too old for that shit now...

right not a black woman thing a woman thing. a communication thing.
even if she would have left him because of it it would be better than hanging around so you can throw him being at his lowest point in his face.

So that's who it is? Her voice is calming and sexy! Her voice gets her a ticket to second base off the rip!

Yeah for real... I'm liking her vibe and her voice is on point. The actress is kind of like her character in real life too... At least from the vibe I'm catching from her in this Facebook live she did with the cat who plays Lawrence...

It's rather long to watch but around the 12 min mark she gives her thoughts on the Ho-tation...

Regarding video above:

The "ho-tation" doesn't last really long for most women under 30 - at some point, she will want more from one of the individuals OR she'll realize she's engaging in the behavior to fill a void elsewhere in her life. Also, societal pressures give in, and you start thinking, "Damn, I should be married with kids by now." And, as you see friends and family get married around you, you realize not all hoes are getting wifed up...always an exception, but definitely not the norm.

Also, not all women go through a "ho-tation." Some find love early - in high school, college, etc. and really don't get to experience that free a period UNLESS tragedy strikes, like a divorce. I think this is where middle age and older women become the "wildcard," because they can engage in the hoe activities without much grievance because they're smarter and have more of an idea of what they want too. Also, the chances of having a child out of wedlock fall substantially...BUT, the rates at which STDs occur with this population did increase, so there's that...

My co-worker, who's been married 20+ years, 5 kids, been with her husband since college...she always says, if something happened, she wouldn't get married again. Just date and have fun. I think many "older women" take the same stance - most of the time, it's only the ones who haven't ever been married who want to get married, at some point.

You did good by standing by your husband during his job loss but after two year, you would've been looking at him like

It's nice to see a mostly decent convo here about a show. Especially one like this. Me and the wife talk about the episodes all of the time but it is hard to find grown ups to talk to about it. Too much Lawrence bashing from the female side for that.

Cause the gist of someone who thinks like that is- I want to do whatever I want to do, you need to be perfect at all times no matter what and I don't need to have any consequences for anything.
People keep bringing up the bank teller, even Issa did. "The bank teller really?"
She ain't know the bank teller, they have no history. None. That teller meant nothing to her or him.
And she said this as if she didn't seek out an old fling that absolutely DID mean something to her?

Men want to get married too.
As bad as women believe getting hurt is for them, magnify it by 5 for a man. Which is why after being heartbroken 1 time men just be like FUCK it and NEVER AGAIN as long as they live

Oh, it wasn't for 2 years...it was, like, 2 months (maybe lol.) But, I'm a saver so we were good - and he had saved. I think he was just concerned about me having to carry him and his bills for a long period of time, which aren't really plentiful. I'm the one carrying credit card balances (unfortunately.) As people who know him say, he's a "man's man." He doesn't know what to do with himself if he's not "working."

The bolded part cracked me up lol - It takes a lot for women to realize men hurt. Like, my husband had to tell me something I said (this is while we were still dating) hurt him for me to reel my tongue back in.

Societal punishment goes both ways. Women can't be strong and men have to be strong. Women should be vulnerable men can't be vulnerable. The truth is in the middle we're both human beings with emotions and feelings which consists of vulnerability and courage and strength as well.
Main thing is once you're in a relationship you two gotta shape that relationship and apply it to you. Outside council for the most part is just playing the role of society
"Girl he was all in his feelings? I don't know why you still talking to him"
"Bruh she tried to take this part over? Man she trying to run you, you should leave her"
When in reality yall are partners and supposed to enhance each other and compliment each other and make each other better.
That was my issue with Issa from jump.
If you not going to try and make your partner better during a rut then why do you need to be there when he's doing good no thanks to you?
People say well she let him stay there etc... he was collecting checks too or did we forget why he was going to the bank in the first place? And do yall honestly believe after everything we've seen of Lawrence that he wasn't kicking in what he could with his money? To the point remember he had used up most of his savings too?
Convenient amnesia

Lawrence was without a job for 2 years...

One bad relationship I was in that didn't last that long was when she kept trying to flip shit and wouldn't acknowledge anything.
whenever I'd lay out facts she'd cherry pick and then pivot to a talking point we weren't even talking about.
"I want to see you today"
"OK after work"
"Why can't you come see me now?"
"Cause I'm at work"
"See, it's always a big deal when I want you to see me. Like why is it such a bad thing that I want to see you. You always turn it into this big thing where you try to make me feel bad for wanting to be with you"
"I said we could see each other today. I'm at work, after work I'll come see you."
"But what about when you just said that it was a bad thing to come and see me?"
""
"You did say that."
""
"You know what never mind forget. I'm out here being loyal to you and I ain't talking to nobody else and you said you didn't want to see me today. How rude is that?"
"

Lawrence was without a job for 2 years...

But, he was collecting unemployment...so, still bringing in something. My husband was just, well, without a job collecting nothing. 2 years has gotta be tough...and, like, he didn't seem to pick up a part time or anything?!? Again, that's a LONG TIME to be on the couch for doing nothing...for anybody.

don't ever be down or depressed or in a rut. don't be a human if you're a man.
Brah...in relationship men can't afford to be in a rut and depressed. A lot of women won't hesitate to say they want to take a break from work or whatever it may be. If you are flipping the bill then that is part for the course, but once many women have to start coming out of pocket they begin to act a fool.

Therein lies the problem.
Looks like 1 person is allowed to have it 1 way.
It's probably a reason why I've never asked anyone I was in a relationship with for anything. Which is sad when you think about it. If we IN IT then we supposed to be in it. There's a difference between being in a rut and being a bum. Lawrence wasn't a bum he was in a rut. His life now shows he wasn't no damn bum.
I just don't like the concept of wanting a man to care but also not having to really care how he feels.
