Bruh, it's just a TV show. If you don't wanna watch....
I think she's saying it's cool that dudes watch, but she's not going to compromise her vision just to accommodate us. In her mind, the show revolves around Issa and Molly's friendship, not a battle of the sexes sitcom. I don't have the demographics, but it's safe to say the viewers are mostly women. And yet dudes are basically saying, 'Issa, you need to center the show around us and what we want to see.' I don't know why #LawrenceHive didn't create a petition for a spin-off cause that's what they truly want.
On Insecure, the women are way more flawed than the men but some cats are still up in arms. Why don't they bring that same energy to TV shows that treat black men as an afterthought or barely a thought at all?
