yeah..from the way she was talking I get the feeling that character is loosely based on superhead..a star fucking chick who was passed around and used but thought those cats were her friends until the bottom fell out in her life then when she went to them for help they looked at her like
...so now niggas are paying dearly for it. don't know about the car but denzel jr character ricky illustrates how the show is a comedy with serious moments..but would probably be better served as a drama with some light moments.
Jr can handle the serious moments but IMO they haven't given that much to do in that regard. some of you guys want the show to be longer..I want to the show to be more serious..to have a harder edge. I think the rock and jr can handle it.
I'm sorry but the actor playing charles just does NOT look like an athlete to me.. I know charles is suppose to retired and out of shape but that actor looks like he was NEVER an athlete and he's got that awkward knock kneed walk really tall people tend to get...I just have a hard time believing that character because they got the wrong actor to play him.

Haha. I used to play in a basketball league with him. He used to wear a pair of cut off sweats with regular basketball shorts over them. The funny thing is that the sweats were longer than the shorts. I think he wore those to hide the fact that his knees touched. He was a very awkward player, would just stay outside and shoot jumpers. He was really cool though. This was right before 8 mile came out. Me and my boys were trippin when we saw the trailer and was like....ain't that the big goofy nigga from our league

Two things you learn as a lineman, the first is that the person that is lower ALWAYS wins the battle (if my pads are lower than yours, you're going were I tell you to go!) and second, the wider your base is, the more leverage you have, his legs/feet were close together as he pushed those trucks, something NO REAL LINEMAN would EVER do, just showed extremely poor technique!

My only beef is how Vernon finally gets mad at Reggie for doing the least obnoxious thing I've seen him do all season.
I understand how Reggie disrespecting Angie made her mad enough to try to blackmail Vernon, but if Reggie had let Vernon leave the boat party when he originally wanted and not snort coke off titties, then it wouldn't have mattered anyway!

I don't think this was that strong an episode...they are clearly trying to build to something and it involves Vernon and Reggie but something is off about the show over all thats working against that...maybe pacing?? maybe character development?? or combination??
I said it before the comedy foundation of the show undercuts everything and takes the full punch out whatever dramatic tension theyre trying to build.
what happened in this episode...
* Spences partner Joe got paranoid but then discovered spence wasn't stabbing him in the back? okay... dude spent the last episode seriously contemplating going into business for himself and this ep he asked spence if he was down to branch out and spence gave him a reluctant look..that MIGHT hint to some break between them but there just doesn't seem to be any sufficient build up on that.
* Ricky is still making vain attempts to get back with his girl who is totally done with him..enough to the point where she went there and called him the worst thing anyone could ever call him...that he's just like his father. Thats a great smack in the face and moment of deep reflection for ricky but he's been comically bottoming out all season so there really nowhere to go but up for him..unless they throw a curve and have him go off the deep end but for a show that so far refuses to get too serious wheres the funny in that?
* As far as Charles Green goes we find out that his wife is actually supportive of his getting-less-believable-by-the-scene attempt at a comeback. I really don't see where that story-line is going that's going to be compelling in any real way. The hardest they can get is revealing that she asked the GM to ride him hard to undercut his comeback because she REALLY doesn't want that to happen...but meh..thats only so so kinda not nice mainly because we ALL know that he aint got it anymore mainly due to the fact that Omar Benson Miller is so freaking out of shape and NOT like a lineman in any way so that can only be so compelling.
* its interesting to watch Spence juggle his clients and put out fires while trying to deal with his own demons but there not enough meat on the bone of his own personal story to feel like I'm invested in his character. The fast paced walk and talk world he deals in is fascinating to watch (and what made Ari Gold the most interesting character on entourage) but is it me or is Spence getting LESS personal conflicts as the season goes on?
Maybe he has dementia brought on by football? NOPE cleared the medical exam.
Maybe he has debilitating guilt for injuring and ending someones career? NOT ANYMORE since he talked it out with the guy.
Maybe he has serious psych issues and anger management problems due to the violence of the sport? Other than shoving reggie (who totally deserved it) haven't really seen much of any of that during the whole season so far.
Where are they going with this guy's personal journey?
* Reggie and Vernon's storyline is the only one with any explosive potential compared to the others but where this line should be a nuclear bomb compared to the regular dynamite of the other storylines...this is like a firecracker compare to a few sparklers.
Vern finally is starting to see reggie for the douchebag he is but because the character and actor are such non entities on the screen and in the story we're not INVESTED to deeply here either.
Vernon going AWOL when the deal needs to be finalized should have us like
but really its more like 
I don't know how theyre going to pull this together for the season finale

This season has gone by all too quickly. Next season needs more than 10 damn episodes
okay so everything wrapped up neatly...was that like a one season deal?
pretty sure they did that because they weren't sure how it was going to end but they did introduce new things for next season.

along with other stuff that comes up. if they do it right, the athletes will always get into trouble and they'll always get them out of it making for compelling tv.
It was a nice, safe finale. I thought for sure that those pics were going to pop back up even with the payoff but my man got his contract and his boy got some sense about him. Big of Spence to realized blood (friends) were thicker than water.
Would have been nice to see the tits on that bunny he was banging but aye, next season maybe.
ya...the show is a good launchpad for him...I can see him going on to do some movie roles

that was the most perfect happy ending I think I've seen
it is but im sure they didn't know. so they shot it and wrapped it and then midway it got picked up so now they're going to go for the tension and building an arc and everything. if they didn't get picked up at least we would have gotten closure. but now we get to see things progress. probably give them a full 12 episodes too.
