Has Anyone Ever Ate At A Famous Restaurant?

All of them except the BBQ joint. Meh...Juniors is in fact AWFUL, Sylvias used to be ok decades ago but has been horrible and overpriced for years, russian tea room is YUCK, Roscoes and Brown Derby ok and I dont eat meat and the cheesesteak place did not have a veggie one but there iS a giy from Philly making cheesesteaks and vegetarian ones on Nostrand Ave in BK and it was REALLY GOOD. Shit I wish I could get one right now...

Juniors food is terrible, but its desserts (pies, cakes and cheesecakes) are still serious - my go to thanksgiving/ xmas dinner contribution...

Kabob Palace in Arlington, VA right across the bridge from DC……never EVER a bad dish, always good……we call it Afghan Spot

This place is the bomb diggity no doubt. It's a block away from Crystal City (parking: $18 for 5+ hours). It's nice and loud but it's as clean as your local chinese food spot.

Oh and fuck that Chili's around the corner from it.

It was one day when I saw a roach on one of the cheesecakes....:smh:

I am FROM Anguilla but spent WAY too much time in NYC :smh: I have heard of this Kayas kitchen before. Dope vegetarian spot right? If is same place I am thinking of is one of best vegetarian retaurants in whole country

The reason why I asked is because I thought you were from NYC. The food there is good as hell. Had a cheesesteak from there two weeks ago that was good as hell.

Roscoes -get the gravy with your chicken and waffles!
Geno's- it's cool.
Silvia's. good food.
Many Man vs Food places. .
Countless others. Can't remember.

Used to hit up Junior's, famous for their cheesecake. Food was OK, nothing to write home about. The cheesecake was great up until a few years ago when someone recorded a mouse in the cheesecake case running around on his phone cam. :puke:

No more Junior's cheesecake for me!

Damn, I wish I hadn't clicked on that link...fucked up a good vision for me!

Anyway, I went to Junior's a long time ago...food was good...and Sylvia's was the bomb...best cornbread I have ever had...

Philly...personally, I prefer Pat's, but Jim's, Geno's, and Billybob's (for the chicken cheesesteak) wasn't bad, either...also, Sam's Clam Bar across from Pat's is pretty good, too...

DC...I spent so much time there, and I had never been to Ben's Chili Bowl or the Florida Avenue Grill until recently...both are pretty good...

Now that Junior's is forever fucked in my mind, can anybody recommend a good (i.e., soft, not blocky and Maalox-tasting) cheesecake in the New Jersey-New York area?

Any city that has any kind of culture or ethnic heritage will have quality food.

I've been all over and besides NY (Purely based on variety of ethnicities) and New Orleans( Deep cooking culture)

You are really hard pressed to find quality and variety alot of places. There is good food everywhere, but there isn't excellent food everywhere.

Still trying to find that great restaurant in LA I need to visit. Somebody give me some names because outside of this one sushi spot I hit up, the food out there was lacking something terrrrrible.

Only so much Burgers or Mexican food I'm trying to hear people tell me to try out....

Went to a seafood spot in Malibu, flooded with cars, people talking about how good it was, we get there and 0 Flavor.

I know where you're talking about...but I'm not talking about there (btw, Ishkabibbles once served me a raw turkey burger - I wouldn't go there again)...

I'm talking about Billybob's in West Philly...good chicken cheesesteaks...

Oh, and while you mentioned it...Copacabana (and Copa Too) in Philly...great margaritas and fries...

never heard of billybobs but according to urbanspoon their are not open anymore anyway. Monday night at Copa is always a party. Half price margaritas all the monday regulars just in there having a good time. that midget kevin heart even swings through occasionally well he use to before he became Hollywood.

next time you are there do yourself a favor and go to jims on south street if you want a tourist steak....

you an venture off to some of the hood spots to get a good cheese steak too

this....Geno's is overrated I prefer jims too but the one in the north

Been to Sylvia's and Juniors. I just bought a cheesecake from Junior's. I didn't dine in so I can't give a review. Sylvia's had really slow service. Food was ok. Typical soul food. Nothing special.

veteran ninjas from milwaukee remember speed queen barbeque (arabian owned) from back in the day (1970's).

then (i think whitey bought them out) shit went down hill.

I've been to a few of these places but I'm going to put everyone on notice. If you've never been to the Breakfast Klub in Houston TX you're missing the fuck out!!! Best breakfast I've ever had.

Before I went to Gus's, you couldn't have told me that I would find a fried chicken place that I thought was better than

Primanti Brothers is a sandwich shop, founded in 1933. Locations are throughout Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The chain is known for its signature sandwiches of grilled meat, an Italian dressing-based coleslaw, tomato slices, and French fries between two pieces of Italian bread.

This is on my to-do list

I've eaten at Geno's, it was kool but I Love Max's.
Ate at Sylvia's, liked that spot. I used to eat at Ben's chili bowl but their chili is runny now, still have good chillie half smokes. Need to add Hot Sauce Williams to the list in Cleveland Angela Mia Pizza in East Cleveland or IMO pizza in st. Lue.

I gotta step my shit up....only Justin's and Gladys Knight joint years back in ATL. I remember Justin's being a underwhelming experience... unseasoned soul food is the worst and I hate a la carte-- I think that's a rip off. G. Knight's was good but it was a long wait and I didn't like seeing the homeless out front. I do travel a lot but I guess I've never considered the famous eateries when I plan trips. I'll have to do that. Had some great food in the Bahamas last spring tho.

Been to Sylvia's, the Brown Derby, Roscoes, Flints, Nathans, M&M's, Aunt Kizzy's back porch, and most of the places listed here. Most of them are overrated.

Went to In and Out to see what the fuss was about.

Damn. That was a good burger.

Next time I'm in Cali, I am making a stop.
