{~~~Guns, Guns and Mo' Guns - The Right To Keep And Bear Arms~~~}

Sadly, yeah. Forcing us to cut down on range time.
Yup, I also had to consider that today for the first time as well. But the way, there were some bad shooters at the range today. We could all benefit from more range time.
Yeah I find myself only bringing 50 round boxes with me to the range now to ration myself otherwise I could easily go through 100+ rounds in a single session

My VP9 is by far the best gun I have that feels good in my hand. My Canik & Springfields don't hold a candle to it but none of them felt awkward. The G19 almost felt like it hurt my inner thumb trying to hold it let alone shoot.
I can't speak highly enough about the feel of the VP9. It's actually what sold me, even more than the great trigger. It's just such a natural feel and grip angle. Awesome design by HK! The PPQ is close, but the VP9 still gets the ergonomic win. I wish the TP9 had finger grooves like the VP9.

Exactly how I feel. I haven't held the PPQ so I can't speak on it but I was sold on the VP9 from the moment I held it for the first time at the gun store.

Dry fire drills, help with muscle memory and getting your RDS draw perfected.
I think that tomorrow, is going to be my last range outing for a minute.
I was just at the range about an hour ago (yeah that's twice for the day) to finally give my AR some work. I think I did pretty decently from about 15 yards out. Couldn't use my 3x zoom cuz it wasn't mounted securely enough and felt very loose after every shot. I realized my ear muffs are too bulky as I couldn't properly rest my cheek against the stock so I ordered a pair of Walker's Razor slim ear muffs. Also ordered some laser rounds for .223 and 9mm to help me zero my red dots.

If I don't get a VP9SK then that's probably the other pistol I'd consider to pair with my Hellcat for concealed carry
@ThaAnsa3 Yeah the Elite SC is starting to get more tempting. My damn CCH needs to hurry up and get approved cuz I don't have anymore purchase permits

I really want it... and it was the one with the brown/tan slide. And it was Optics Ready for only $419!
:hithead::slobber:

I'm mad I don't have any purchase permits right now. I would apply for one but already have my CCH in the process and don't know when if it'll come through before the purchase permit comes. Got me feeling extra impatient

Bro, my bad. Lol

I'm going to stay out the gun store unless they call me and tell me ammo is in. I have to show restraint with guns now and invest in ammo.
I'm banning myself from going to the gun store unless I get a call that the PC Carbine is in stock. Otherwise I'll be setting myself up for a teasing

Do you like them? Is the Fn worth the extra money? Are they reliable? Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
Been away for awhile moving and working, so I missed some of these discussion....My wife and I both have 5.7's. with at least 800+ rds down the pipe. Never been cleaned and still running like champs. I conceal carry mine regularly. Just went to a range near my new house and fired off a couple of mags and ran my sbr PS90. The RO asked why I was shooting hard to find ammo. I gave him the dumb ass look....I have at least 5K rounds in reserve and keep buying when I see it for a reasonable price. I have shot it side by side with the Ruger and in my opinion, save a few hundred and get the real deal. The ergonomics of the Ruger are ok, but it does not feel as good as the 5.7. The Ruger I tested was nearly new. I did a quick field strip before shooting as I do with most new guns. The trigger spring could be improved and the extractor (in my opinion) is bound to give you problems. The trigger is light, but it may be too light sand cause out ND or out of battery firing. The gun is not reliable with AE rounds or SS192. It did not like Elite ammo rounds either. Both of our 5.7's run anything you throw at it. This is just my opinion so take it any way you want, but I have never had a problem with the FN's since we bought them. Ruger, in a few years, may be able to come close, but I will not own one.

I own the PPQ 9 and 45. Out the box the PPQ has the best factory trigger than all other polymers. I like the VP, but I liked the Walther a lot better and gave the VP to my sister. To me, the PPQ's are overlooked. My 9 and 45 are in regular carry rotation with my 5.7. I have a Canik on order because they have good reviews, but I will hold my opinion on those until I get some serious range time with it.

Realized something at the range today regarding the Hellcat. It has the same flaw as the XDS Springfields in that the slide release is positioned too far back. I saw a number of posts, via Google search, that said the same thing. After reading up on it and looking at how I've been holding the pistol, I realized I was having the same issue cuz I noticed that my thumb was positioned right on top of the release thus preventing it from engaging once I empty the mag. Now I either gotta re-learn to hold and shoot with it or trade her in for something that fits better with my grip.

The Sig P365 is what you seek. I've tried most of the modern examples of sub-compacts, and keep returning to my P365 for a deep concealment EDC.

I'm kind of leaning towards the VP9SK since I'm already familiar with the VP9 but haven't held the Sig yet so it's not out of the question to cop it as well

I'm waiting to actually put a few rounds through the Canik to really decide... but dry firing it makes it seem like it's right there neck and neck with the PPQ. But yeah, the PPQ trigger is mind blowingly great!

I know the trigger reset on the Canik got you like

Does anyone have/carry the Sig P320? I picked up an X-Compact and threw a hogue grip on it, gives me more grip satisfaction than my G17.
The flat trigger also and has me thinking about a new trigger system for all of my weapons.
I have a M18 (P320), different grip angle, a tad larger and heavier, ambi safety, 2 more rounds, curved trigger shoe.
The trigger on the P320 is about 8llbs. If you really want a great trigger, check out Apex trigger bar kit. They reduce the pull and reset considerably.
