Most Kobe fans are delusional, so, I'm sure thats why he felt the need to add that disclaimer.

Kobe Bryant hands down.

I'm not even a Kobe fan, never have been, but I respect the hell out of dukes game and the hate he gets is flat out unreasonable.

Maybe in the 2000-2003 seasons I could see Shaq or Duncan but when you take in the whole decade nobody fucks with him.

Its unfair to him because other players are judged purely on their talent/achievements, Kobe seems to be judged simply by how he compares to Jordan instead of being judged by his accomplishments and how he's done in his own era against his own peers.

Kobe fans are just as delusional as any other player overhyped by the media. Shaq isn't overrated? Shaq wasn't nearly as dominating a force as he should have been. How did the dude not lead the league in rebounds ONE year? I'm sure someone will come up with an excuse for that, but Shaq was the most dominant force in the league since Wilt Chamberlin, and not only has he never league the league in rebounding, but I don't think he has too many scoring titles if ANY.

How is that even possible for Shaq?

Yet, no one calls him overrated. Just because you win titles that don't mean you can't be overrated.

Tim Duncan

Shaq had the keys taken away from him in 2004.

Kobe wasn't allow to drive the car till Shaq was gone.

Timmy was in the drivers seat since day one.

It's kinda hard and unusual to say that almost since the Tim Duncan was drafted his team was in contention of a ring.

Also he won with two different teams.

Then again that still goes to credit the Spurs front office, scouts (damn they have the best scouts in the league) and that hall of fame coach.

Maybe I'm reading the thread title wrong but does this offer the opinion on the greatest player for the past decade or which player had the greatest season...

Also, are we talking about statistically or overall... because overall, Kobe by a landslide! No other player has impacted the game as much, inspired so much hate and like, and been under the microscope and performed more than Kobe... I know a lot of people may want to include LeBron and while he has had probably the best start to a career in a very long time under intense pressure, the fact remains he won no chips during that time.... And as great as Tim Duncan has been, he over the past few seasons especially has become more of a secondary star on that team, behind Manu and TP...

Oh, and by the way I am a Kevin Durant and Sixer fan, just objective thats all.... before the juveniles come in and try to claim I am blinded by some mystical influence Kobe seems to have over his fans... :D

yes im talkin about 1 season 02 and iverson is the only player in nba history to take a team full of bums to the finals

That team was perfectly built for AI. Those players weren't bums. They were good role players that could play d. Due to Iversons need to dominate the ball he was unable to play with other superstars. Larry Brown did a masterful job of coaching and surrounding him with role players .
