Google Voice question

my phone is off & i may have to grab one of those free government phones for the time being. i was wondering if i get the phone then sign up for a google voice number THEN whenever i get the money to buy a regular phone, i won't have to change the number will i? in short, i'm asking after i sign up for the google voice number w/ the free phone, i can just switch the number to a regular cell phone when i buy one, right?.......i hope this makes sense. LOL

Yea I'm pretty sure u can. I haven't fucked with my Google voice in a min but I think you can add multiple #'s to it. So it'll ring your fed phone and the new 1 when u get it

It does, but only for people sending you pics from Sprint phones.


They were supposed to be expanding that.

you can set up a gmail filter to send mms to your gmail inbox. so far its worked for me and not just sprint phones. only thing is you then have to go into your gmail to see the pics. but hey, its free.

I use it almost exclusively because we cant get signals at all in the lower levels of my building but our wifi is strong as shit. when im up top I go back to regular service.

set it up to forward to your google chat? talk? whatever you call it, and then download the GrooveIP app or Spare Phone, jump on a wifi and you got a working phone with none of that sip setup shit.

Thanks man. I tried it and it worked from my Sprint phone. I received the pic in my email.

The MMS info. you gave isn't true, fam. That only works with Sprint or Boost Mobile. It works with Boost Mobile because Boost is really Sprint.
