Clipse Reportedly Working On New Reunion Album With The Neptunes
http://allhiphop.com/2014/01/07/clipse-reportedly-working-on-new-reunion-album-with-the-neptunes/

(AllHipHop News) Pusha T piqued the music world’s interest when he announced that he was headed to the studio with The Neptunes for 20 days. It appeared the sessions were for Pusha’s next solo project, tentatively titled King Push, but KarenCivil.com is reporting that G.O.O.D. Music rapper is actually reuniting with his brother, No Malice, to release a new Clipse album.

The site claims to have confirmation that the Virginia duo is reconnecting for their first project since 2009′s Til the Casket Drops. The Clipse also previously released Lord Willin’ and Hell Hath No Fury. All three albums featured production from The Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo. Their upcoming album is to be released independently.

This comes as a surprise considering Pusha told the BBC late last year that his brother was not interested in getting back together as the Clipse. No Malice also expressed that they were on two different musical paths in a Vibe interview in June. Apparently, the two rappers have worked out their musical differences and will drop a new project in the near future.

GOOD IDEA???

As a solo act Pusha couldn't top the excellence of Numbers on the board.
One of the best hip hop tracks of the last ten years. However the clipse
always had a unique vibe about them, and good promise of something great
and successful. Now we can see if this can truly come to fruition, especially
whilst riding the wings of Pharrell's current 'second wind'.

I agree but my only hesitation is how this new Christian dynamic will work...

the Clipse as a unit revolutionized 'coke rap'

Can they still create that premium music with one half basically denouncing the other?

I am actually going to make sure I will PURCHASE this album regardless...

The Clipse are a great group. Subject matter is limited but both are lyrical. I always liked Malice better. I don't wanna hear him talking about god though.

IIRC, he doesn't 'denounce' it, just offers up the honest truth about it and how he deals with both sides.

Similarly to how Pimp C always talked about both sides of the game. UGK has never put out an album that lacked social commentary.

I think that is s good example.

did yo listen to No Malice's solo?

I think with his brother and the Neptunes he could be the FIRST rapper to really do what many thought Mase or Kanye would.

He is actually a better MC then his brother...and always dropped jewels but I really anxious to hear what direction he goes with this.

I aint saying they invented but in heir time...with those Re-Up Gang miztapes included their metaphors and similies on coke were awesome.

C'mon son.

And factual.

SO I feel like when the Coke Rap was on the rise and MANY rappers who shouldn't have been doing it DID it they kinda corrected the ship and become almost the barometer of it.

Yo got BIG, Jay, Jadakiss, Jeezy, TI, Rawse off the top

This wouls make an AWESOME thread topic by the way

Always have high hopes for them but their albums are always underwhelming.
Lets try to forget that malice album all together.
