Before They Were Famous: 10 Little-known Debuts from Big-time Rappers

People think "Trap Muzik" was T.I.'s debut?

I remember the I'm Serious video used to be on Rap City all the time.

I didn't fuck with that album until I heard Trap Muzik and his "In Da Streetz" mixtape series.

Da In Da Streets series was moreso focused on P$C than him solely.

Not really. TI was the main attraction and the main person on all of those songs in that series. You hardly even noticed PSC.

Fuck the bullshit Gza's style and flow were ahead of time on that "Come do me."

I vaguely remember that song. Those were the Special k DAYS

Not too many outside of Kool G rap had broken meter like that back then.:smh:
(honorable mention early kool keith and the ultra mag crew)

GZAs One of the best.

Post some of that old Mos Def shit.

Yeah, I go by the covers. On volumes 1-3 T.I. was on most of the songs and only a few were songs out of about 20 were just PSC member solos or didn't have T.I. on them. And the cover of the tapes would say "T.I. and The P$C"

Now Volume 4, yeah I'd say that one was more about the whole Grand Hustle roster because it didn't say T.I. or PSC. And T.I. was only on like maybe 4 songs.

The PSC album, PSC was the main attraction even though T.I. was on every song but the first one and the last one, but on the cover instead of saying T.I. and the PSC, it just said PSC.

Volume 4 was the official PSC album which was released in the stores. 1-3 were the mixtapes that got TI his deal for Trap Muzik after getting dropped.

that old jeezy is boo boo. :puke:

its amazing to see how far he has came though alot of cats make the same shit 10 yrs later.

T.I. though has been making hits since day one. Been bumping Im Serious since 01.

I think you got Vol 4 and 25 to Life confused

25 to Life was the PSC album, which only had PSC songs. In 2005, I think

And then Vol. 4 was the Grand Hustle album, that was 2006

It had songs by other GH artists like Khao, Xtaci, B.G., that dude that had that song "Tell Em What They Wanna Hear"

give credit to jaz for that style (correct me if im wrong)

Naw they had different styles on every song on that album. They sounded like a lot of people. By 94 they managed to blend it all together and make a sound of their own

I'm a big Em fan and when I first heard infinite and slim shady EP, I see what Dre saw in him.

I use this track to compare the local artist here in miami.

50 power of the dollar was better than get rich or die trying but the beats on on power of the dollar gets trumped by the latter. That is 1 of the reasons why 50 cent sucks. As his career headed towards prolific success the lazier (lyrically) he got.

TI or TIP I'm serious, was one of the cd's I wish I jumped on the wave with its release instead of fighting and asking "why everyone listen to this trash." Being a Pac fan, I really ignored alot of people B.I.G. related or not. I missed great cd's like Ready to Die, I'm Serious and Aquemini.

...when I was younger and JH dropped, I used to live in VA and they played "Hit it From The Back" on the radio consistently. 103 Jamz.

Fuck, those were the days.

Maybe so, they were teenagers. And Im pretty sure this was around that time (give or take a year or two, but I could be wrong).

No bullshit, I remember I was at that age (7th grade?) where I was too young to work, and a $10 tape was a luxury. I used to go to the music store in the mall and be dyin to buy JH, but I'd either just end up gettin a few singles (cuz they were cheaper), or leavng empty handed after forcing myself NOT to stick that shit in my pocket (used to be a bit of a clepto back then :D).

Used to tape MAD shit off the radio, Hit it From the Back is def on several of those tapes

peace
