ADOS Movement doesn’t want our People to Vote. Watch for it. It starts with no Democratic Presidential candidates have met our standards. There will be no mention of Trump. While it’s implied that he is bad, the goal is not for you to vote for him either. They definitely don’t want to “give him the business” in any town forums - lest he be forced to go on record like the rest of them (i.e., Democrats).
Next will be the movement not to vote and stay home to show the racist Democratic blood suckers that we mean business - carefully timed for April or May to ensure enough time to get out the “no vote” strategy and the months of going after the Democratic candidate. There will be no mention of local issues or anything down ballot of the Presidential. They want us focused on one issue to keep us from voting - because that will show the Democrats.
There is no real regard for our People. Just enough pro-black, “they’re all the same” talk to cause apathy. Right wing redistricting, poll closings in our area, bot ads on Facebook, lawsuits to prevent church buses to carry our People to polling precincts, broken poll systems, etc.. will do the rest.
ADOS Movement will then congratulate itself for a successful mission of showing the Democrats we mean business and then celebrating an increase in HBCU funding (albeit small but tangible) and a rehashed version of empowerment zones as victory (better than Obama!!!!).
Unfortunately, all that maneuvering to try to be the minority of favor from the (shit I don’t know who the ADOS Movement is asking for reparations from) will not really work because the only people they targeted won’t be in a position to do anything for them.
Coupke good things that have come from this - I seriously learned more nuggets of Black History and our Struggle. This movement has also started a discussion about tangible issues in our community and what we need to do to target change.
That’s a start
