dude is 6' 4". and he's always ran real upright but that didn't stop him last year. it looks like there is something wrong with his legs cause he keeps tippy-toeing instead of trucking like he did last season. he's not getting that drive which is evident by the Giant's red zone woes this season.
the only way he would get tackled last year was at his legs, but now DBs are hitting him high and he's going down.
and it ain't the line's fault. same O line. and when bradshaw gets in, he goes to town.
His value is so low right now. The only way to trade him, is to pair him with someone.

I know how you feel. I didn't do fantasy football this year but I'll be damn if I pick somebody up in fantasy basketball & they reward me by averaging 6pts, 2 assts & 10 turnovers per game. teams have adjusted to him. week in and out teams gameplan for jacobs and how to stop him. ive been keeping up with the giants and jacobs cause i had (keyword HAD) him in my fantasy football league. from what ive seen....teams try to lock down jacobs and make eli beat em through the air. plus a. bradshaw has been wayyyyyyy more productive. its like the giants start each game giving both backs a chance. then whoevers producing the best...they ride with them throughout the game. jacobs does get the goalline touches tho but so far he's been shut down.
i got rid of his ass cuz with bradshaw doing what hes doing...i cant see jacobs having a SUPER season like last year. plus the giants schedule doesnt really get any easier. they play alot of tough run defenses later on this season. (eagles, bengals, ravens, jets, broncos, steelers, chargers....shit..the EASIEST cats they play will be the browns, chiefs, and cowboys considering the cowboys still playing like shit by then. i traded jacobs for jones drew.

Jacobs is punishing straight ahead runner that's runniong sideways!
He's part to blame for it but the play-calling is to blame as well.
I saw that they were doing this last year as well only not as much.
Jacobs should run in between the tackles most of the time and outside a little just to keep defences honest.
Having a 265lb running back run sweeps all the time gives defences time to cut him running sideways.
signing a big deal don't mean shit in the NFL since you can get cut at anytime. you're guaranteed upfront money and that's it. you have to continually play for you check. this ain't MLB or the NBA where you can cost after scoring big money.
Exactly. He got paid, so now hes doing just enough to keep his roster spot. If he keeps getting 75 yds/gm, the Gaymen will keep him on. If he gets hurt (career ending), he won't get paid.
Why they are running a sweep with that big muthafucka is beyond me. Especially with that O-Line i'd be pounding straight through the middle with draws.
