Dude is averaging 3.6 yards a game, has the most rushing attempts than Ahmad Bradshaw, and has only one TD so far.

What is going on with Jacobs?????????

League probably caught up with him. Cats use to try to go head to head with him. You ain't going head to head with no fucking linebacker. I've only seen him play the Cowboys and the squad they faced last week that's slipping my mind right now. But I know for a fact he's murdered the Cowboys in the past. Cats bouncing off of him. I noticed this go around cats was going at him low. And he also doesn't seem to be running with his shoulders up. He use to walk over niggas. Now he's trying to juke and shit.

Brandon Jacobs should be bulldozing motherfuckers, not juking them.

Never liked him and always thought he was overhyped for who and what he was. He should have never been put in the position as a "feature-back". He excelled as a big bulldozing change of pace and split time guy. The guy struck me as more of a gimmick and highlight reel guy (meaning he would look good in doses but not be impressive or overly effective as a full-time ball carrier).

I think he is who he was, teams are just having more success containing his big ass.
 
He was a one hit wonder, that everyone knew was going to have a short career because of his punishing style.

Not to mention, he just signed that 4 yr, 25 million dollar contract extension this past off season. He knew his career would be over soon, so he's just trying to make it through these next 4 years.
 
Um i'm so no one would like to stand in his way right now. The Giants are 5-0 which is all the matters
 
I got him on my fantasy team and i know as soon as trade him, he's gonna start running through everything that moves. I still dont see how you go from 15 TD's last season to just 1 TD at week five.

Brandon Jacobs and Terrel Owens are the biggest fantasy failures this season!!!!

One TD in five games is pathetic.

I expected Brandon Jacobs to have at least one TD in each of the last two games against the Raiders and the Chiefs.

The GIANTS are 5-0 why should Jacobs run himself down by midseason. You're talking Fantasy points, Big Blue is trying to win another SuperBowl.

Key FACT:

Giants are ranked 29th in the league in red zone offense. They are only better than the Browns, Bills and Rams. Part of that is in due to Jacobs. Hasn't hurt them yet since they're 5-0 but its why the Cowboys had 5 turnovers and had the lead within 2 minutes left of the game. Giants left a lot of points on that board.


You saying Jacobs ain't running himself down doing all that juking and shit? He's hurting himself more. All cats doing is getting low and he's giving them time to do it juking.
 
I realize the Fantasy game play is a big deal, I'm on a Fantasy team myself. But Damn it's a Fantasy game. If Jacobs is not scoring big Fantasy points for your team then drop him. You guys get to involved with this arm chair quarter backing. If the Giants can when games without running down there running backs so be it. The Giants RedZone issue are with Eli not being able to throw a screen or play action pass in the RedZone, not Jacobs or Bradshaw not being able to run up the middle all the time.

you don't see screen plays ran down in the goal line. timing. short field. number of factors make screens ineffective down there.

and you need a consistent running threat in order for playaction to be effective. Bradshaw has been the more effective back and should be getting more snaps.

although the giants have good young WRs, the lack of a 6'5" Plaxico catching fade routes in the back of the endzone is a big issue.

I'd trade Ladanian Tomlison for Brandon Jacobs in a second. I picked LT as my 6th pick ... over people like Chris Johnson and Jacobs.

LT is the biggest fantasy bust this year.

I'm not gonna write him off yet. If someone gives me a solid running back starter for him i'm taking it but i'm not writing him off. He still has shit to prove. He's got his back against the wall. I think the pride in him is gonna have him come back tough once he gets healthy. My running back core ain't shit. Only reason i've been winning is because of McGahee's first couple of weeks and Tashard Choice and I picked both of them off waivers. I=failed at getting LT. I fucked up.

Brandon Jacobs is a pussyfooting running back unless he's got a full head of steam... Meaning he needs to be in almost a full run or sprint to truck mofukas over like he was doing last year. He hasn't got that chance this year because the O-line isn't dominating like last year, although they are controlling the line of scrimmage. Ahmad's more of a hit the hole and go type of back. No top flight speed, but will burn you if he gets an open lane. He's a tough runner with attitude and that's what you want. I've told Giants fans that they'll go as far as Ahmad's running skills take 'em, because Eli can't do it by himself.
 
Since the G-MEN are 5-0 I would say nothings wrong. You have to see how he's being used. Plus the league has adjusted to him.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. The Giants are 5-0, let it be he'll be there.

thats pretty much what he's been saying in his interviews........he says he's good, just that they have so many weapons and people are always looking for him that it opens other options, so the job gets done anyway.....

signing a big deal don't mean shit in the NFL since you can get cut at anytime. you're guaranteed upfront money and that's it. you have to continually play for you check. this ain't MLB or the NBA where you can cost after scoring big money.

players have undisclosed injuries all the time.
 
He's running to high up instead of lowering his shoulders more. It's more difficult for him since he's taller than your average HB but he needs to adjust his game cuz the lineman & DBs sure as hell have. I haven't seen him really truck anyone since he bulldozed over Brian Urlacher in the preseason.
 
Brandon Jacobs' biggest asset is his also his biggest problem... He's a HUGE back... Yes, he can run through people BUT... He's doesn't hit the holes fast... He's gotta get a few steps before he can get it going... whereas, running backs like Leon Washington, Felix Jones, Chris Johnson... They hit the hole quick and get to the second level a lot faster... thing is, when Brandon gets to the second level... he is a NIGHTMARE to deal with... :yes::yes::yes:
