Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Breathe!!! Find a brown paper bag and breathe.

You making up your own story now. Bran never did anything strategic before. So how you know he can do that shit? Explain to me how he used strategy to stop a future problem from really happening? He just says dumb shit like “oh this is as meant to happen”.

Bran has done nothing.
Yeah because if Bran could see all of that then there would be no reason for him to let all those northmen die. Plus why let all this children die getting burned ... he could have told Jon to kill her on the way there. Amongst other things.

Right. So because of this and other things not making any sense based on what we know of the character, I am led to believe the writers fucked up.
The Bran that we knew was supposed to have an epic show down with the Night King. It should have involved more warg-ing and going back into time.
The used to show us what he was going through. Instead they ruined the character.

Yeah because if Bran could see all of that then there would be no reason for him to let all those northmen die. Plus why let all this children die getting burned ... he could have told Jon to kill her on the way there. Amongst other things.

Everything is the same
Jon kills Dany
Dragon comes thru
Sets fire to Jon
He's unburnt
Greyworm see this
Unsullied fall in line
Everyone falls in line
Tyrion is his hand
Greyworm leaves
Sansa is queen of the north
Bran is just a dude
End of the series
Jon on throne with ghost on one side drogon on the other

Final shot
10 times more satisfying then the trash we got. The defenders are sad, feels like they named their kid after a character or got a GOT tattoo lol there’s no way someone can feel that what we got as an ending is fitting of the epic show we’ve been watching all these years.

Bingo! Certainly would have been better and make more sense considering they shoved Jon Snow down our throats.

Ok First off I apologize for insulting you. Please forgive me. I actually respect you and your love of the show.

However you are just so unwilling to admit it is bad it is almost comical to me.

Bran is clairvoyant right? They wasted him. That is my point.

He chose to roll his eyes into the back of his head when he was needed the most.

What I have an issue with is his character does NOTHING.

It is not about being spoon fed it is about proper story telling and a character arch that makes sense and is enjoyable to watch.

Do you not see that damn near the whole world thinks the show sucks?

You think you are smarter than these people? Cause you aren't.

Stories are not like real life. In order to have a good story things need to be shown so we can base judgement.

If it isn't shown or happens "off camera" it is a cop out. It then has fans use their own imagination and make up bullshit like you are doing.

Bran has done nothing to indicate he would be a good king.

He doesn't have a "better story" than Jon Snow. He doesn't have a better claim either.

From season 2 through season 4.... Bran heard the voices... had the dreams... and saw IMAGES sent from the first 3-eyed raven. Correct?

So ask yourself this question..... what did you see THE ORIGINAL 3-eyed Raven do that made you think that Bran was going to have waaaay more 'super-powers' FAR BEYOND what the first guy had? Hmm?

How exactly did they WASTE Bran's powers... if he does ALL THE SAME stuff that the FIRST 3-eyed Raven does ... PLUS had the ability to control (simple-minded) Hodor, as a bonus.

What could the first 3-eyed Raven do... that Bran couldn't do also?
They both have greensight, which allows them to see past, present & future events (or glimpses) without actually being there.

They traveled together back in time... to watch Ned fight Sir Arthur Dayne.
And Bran traveled ALONE back in time... to watch Rhaegal marry Lynna Stark.

When they first met face-to-face in the sseason 4 finale... the 3ER said "I've been WATCHING YOU... all of your lives.... with a thousand eyes and one." (which means he was using Greensight)

He also tells Bran: "You will never walk again... but you will fly."
And Bran wargs into his first Raven after that, in subsequent seasons... and actually DOES experience flight... and what it feels like to be airborne.

So ahh... what ELSE did the original 3ER do that was 'so special'... aside from rolling his eyes back into his head? (Which is the very same thing that Bran did)

If Bran 'did nothing'... THEN THE ORIGINAL 3-EYED RAVEN THAT GRRM HIMSELF PENNED FOR 4 SEASONS 'DID NOTHING' ALSO.

So why are you only upset at..... 'how Bran was written'?

Where is all your outrage for 'how the first 3-eyed raven was written on the tv show' by GRRM himself? :hmm: Hmm? Do tell.

Both these nuccas did the EXACT same shit.... but you only mad at ONE of them.... and you ain't mad at the one GRRM WROTE FIRST. :smh:

Newsflash >> The first 3ER raven was STUCK IN A DAMN TREE. Sshheeeiitt.... at least D&D gave Bran a WHEELCHAIR... so he could 'get around' a little bit &' look fully human'.

Why you ain't mad that the FIRST 3-eyed Raven did not WARN EVERYONE about Dany killing all those innocent civilians? Hmm? That nucca 'could see the future also', right? Just like Bran.

Bran was stuck in that tree for a whole year.... and the first 3-eyed raven never once told him...”Ayo playa, whenever you get outta here... watch out for Dany and her Dragons... she gonna wreck King’s Landing and kill a whole bunch of innocent people. Tell Jon to Man-Up and stop that shit.”

Why didn’t GRRM tell D&D thats how it was gonna play out? Why you ain’t mad at GRRM too?

Ok. Let's agree the original Raven did nothing. I can't be mad at him. He did noting and stayed true to his character.

Bran as the Raven now. You don't agree that he was wasted? He interfered sometimes but not other times? Why? Bad writing that is why,

You weren't expecting more considering all the previous set up and all the hell he went through?

Rickon and Jojen Reed died... there was set ups for Bran that I feel were not played out.

What more do I need? I needed to see the true story!

You know damn well Bran being the King was a last minute switch.

Arya killing the NK was a last minute switch. That was NOT the plan.

Subverting expectations is one thing but get off the bullshit!

Don't even bring up Ned's head being cut off as a shock because if you think about it... it was always something that was possible.

Ned was playing with fire.

He was born in secret in the castle of joy to a prince and lady who both died
He was raised a bastard by the noblest and honest man in the realm
He served the nights watch rising up to become commander
He went beyond the wall to save the wildlings
When he returned he was murdered for doing the right thing
He was resurrected by the lord of light
He discovered the night king and warned us all
He saved mankind
He killed a queen gone mad whom he loved because sometimes duty is the death of love
Who has a better story than Jon the true heir to the throne and rightful King of the 7 Kingdoms?

Is probably what that speech should have sounded like

NO, I dont know that... because 5 or 6 years ago... D&D went to GRRM's house for a whole week and discussed how EACH & EVERY character's story should end.

He told them exactly what he wanted 'to happen'.... To EVERYONE.
Not a single character was left with an 'undecided outcome'.

"Subverting expectations'... that could have happened in GRRM's living room 5 years ago.
Not necessarily at the end of season 7. Or in the last few months.

Another aspect to consider how long does a 3ER live?

I am sure part of the rebuilding of kings landing will include the planting of a weir wood tree for bran to plug in to.

If 3ER do have extended life spans whose to say another 3ER/greenseer does not come along to replace bran.

Just a few things to clarify here.

The 3ER's job is NOT to interfere. His job is to watch and to remember. He is Westeros' memories.

If you are familiar with Marvel comics, he is very much like The Watchers. Remember Bran said he is not really Bran anymore, he is something else now. Just a short while ago he wasnt even human enough to thank Meera for dragging his crippled ass through snow for miles and miles.

When they do act its to find their successors and to protect themselves.

Thats why there is no outrage for how the previous 3ER acted in the show.

Thats also why Bran becoming king now is completely ridiculous. He is now FORCED to interfere in everything. He is also far far away from his power base (forests up in the north).

Power base? When did anyone ever say the 3ER needed to be up North to be close to a power base, on the tv show? When did anyone on the tv show say that the 3ER needed a Power Base At all?

When they do act... it’s to find their successors & protect themselves... when did anyone on the tv show ever say the 3ER can only ‘choose to act’ to find their own replacement? And that’s the only time they can do anything at all.

Books readers are the folks who be starting all this bitching. :smh: Because they always want shit to match, because they cannot watch the tv show without separating it from book lore. :smh:

Notice how they complained that he’s doing too much ‘interference’ that a 3ER is not supposed to do.... but at the same time they also complain Bran is not doing anything special... like warging into a Dragon to kill the Night King.

These folks cant have it both ways. :smh:

(Yes, I know exactly who The Watchers are, in Marvel Comics. That was a good analogy)

Last One. Dragons are not loyal to Targaryens. They are loyal to their riders. They have a bond with their riders. Dragons have killed other dragons and other Targaryens in the past. So Drogon should have roasted Jon. Also Jon isn’t fire proof because he is half Stark. He is not 100% Targaryen.

Naw man.....Drogon is smarter than humans are.....he knew Dany needed to be stopped also.

And burnt the throne cause her pursuit of it was the thing that really corrupted and killed her.....not Jon.

And Drogon knew this.

Exactly. They had a slam dunk. A fast break all alone to win the game. A simple dunk would have done it but they wanted to try a 360 reverse windmill and missed. The funny thing is that since they took over the writing all they have been is cliche.... now at the end they wanna throw a wrench. Hilarious man.

Yup

Ppl also confuse me agreeing and seeing and enjoying Dany becoming the mad queen with me not having gripes with the rest of the show and writing

Jon as king with ghost and drogon is mission accomplished from season 1 episode 1

Instead

I agree that its hard to seperate the show and the books, however alot of things are kind of logical too. Not every detail can be spelled out in the show.

For example, they show you that Bran's power is connected to the trees, but they dont go into detail about why its the case.

The 3ER being a recluse is also logical. There is only one of him at a time. They have to keep their line going, so they cant put themselves in danger all the time. The "watcher" cant also be the "main actor", again thats just logical and a age old sci fy/fantasy "rule" in a way.

Bran being both king and the 3ER does not work at all even in the show.

Sam comes in with the book and says
"This is the book we've been working on about the history of the new 6 kingdoms."
Tyrion: Rather thick, what's it called?
Sam: Well, actually I helped with the name and I put together pieces because for a while there I was the only one who actually saw what Jon did
Bronn: Are there any brothel's near the Night's Watch? What do you do? *looks around*
Brienne gives him the side-eye
Sam looks awkwardly Sam: Well, we just didn't do anything I guess.
Tyrion: The name Sam
Sam: Oh, yes right, right. It's a Song of Fire and Ice.
Sam starts talking about Jon- It begins in the tower of Joy because we now know exactly where he began
*camera pans out and transitions to the throne room.
*game of thrones theme plays
*it comes in from 10,000 feet aerial view and shows the grand entrance and goes forward towards the throne.
*can still hear Sam telling the story and saying he died and Bronn interrupting him and saying wait what?
Davos: Yea he died.
Bronn: Bullshit
Sam: It's true!
*Jon enters the throne room as the music is playing. He comes in and sits down.
*He sighs because its his duty and he remembers Dany wanting it his love of his life...remembering the pain and fight it took for him to get to this point for peace among men.
*Jon looks sad
*Ghost enters the throne room and comes right up to Jon. Jon smiles his little smirk and pats Ghost on the head "Hey boy" he says and ghost rubs his head on Jon's hand then sits right in front of him to the left side from the front view.
*We hear a dragon scream
*We hear wings flutter.
*Camera pans up so we can see the ceiling of the throne room. It isn't there fully. There is a whole in the center and as we see the hole Drogon comes through.
Lands lets out a scream and walks over to Jon on the throne.
Jon: Ahh there you are. All full?
Drogon screeches and then looks at Ghost then lays down on the right side of Jon
Jon looks forward as Podrick opens the door we don't see him but we hear him
Camera pans to Podrick
Podrick: Ready for today's audience your grace?
Jon doesn't say anything he just nods yes as we see Ghost and Drogon looking right at Podrick.

Fades to black.
