The entire season was pretty much her being trained? I'm not sure what more needed to be shown there unless you wanted to see a few kills before she killed the Freys. She might have been average against someone trained in the same fashion as her, but she's a fucking ninja compared to everyone else. 99.99% of the population never sees her coming. Someone who is a noble might catch her if she keeps fucking up with the language though.. she called him My Lord and the peasants always say m'lord... remember Tyrion warned her about that shit..

We have no way of knowing how much time has passed for certain things that happen in the show. For some things it doesn't really matter but for others time and distance traveled makes a difference. Aryas time training is one of those things that matter.

She's was an advanced student and has graduated. Training is done. Not all students excel in the same manner. So they didn't spend more seasons on her training,,,ehhh, who cares? So far she's made two flawless kills (and probably more to go), so questioning her being an assassin is silly.

By the way outside of Jamies comments what makes them incompetent. Trick or not they were good enough to beat Rob Stark during the red wedding. Granted the troops were probably mostly drunk, but they did execute the plan.

The hostage situation spoke for itself. It was Tywin Lannister that planned the Red Wedding. House Frey was merely hired help to do a simple job on orders from Tywin to end the war. House Frey wasn't the brains behind that operation and couldn't even prevent the Brotherhood without Banners from constantly raiding their supply chains, much less hold on to Riverrun. A competent Lord keeps the Houses within the Riverlands united rather than have them oppose and raid.

Quite an explosive end to another engaging season of Game of Thrones... went out with a bang. I only watched the first season of GOT due to BGOL and this post calling it Sopranos in chains (and I'm hooked) Winter is here and the Night King has his army doing layup lines, but few in the 7 kingdoms seem concerned. Most still fighting over the Iron Throne and the status it offers. Now my watch has ended it will not begin for another 7 months with that said here are my stretched out observations

• I just want to know how the Sparrows carve perfect circles free hand. No stencil. No nothing
• Cersei the Queen mother is a no show like RG3 at the B.E.T. awards
• Margarey starts bumping "Something ain't right" by Keith Sweatgarden
• Does Lancel enjoy the company of lil boys ? why chase a minor down an alley? - Chris Hanson
• Lancel attempts to retrieve Cersei but she's sipping her 3rd glass of wine harder than Kermit in a meme

• Lancel's pursuit leads him to what he thinks in the best micro brewery in KL... but that isn't guiness
