I think in a way that was her forgiving him. She has a list of people she will kill- he was on it. So while it appears that she's cold, that's only if you look at it from his pov or as an outsider. But for her- she has a standard. She knew he was just saying those things to get her to kill him, and that he actually grew to like her.
