went to the zoo about a year ago (took the kids), got real close to a bald eagle. it was perched on a branch and the shoulders on that bitch was wider than my 5 year old daughter :eek: it looked life it had to be 3 feet tall AT LEAST!

Question for clarification: When the series started, Danerys had only recently got her period, so, she's maybe 13-14 then?How old is she now? When she's walking around bucket nekkid, are we watching a precocious 16-17 year old?

I think she's about 14 or 15 in the book. Missandei is about 11. Most of the main pov characters are young, I think Jon Snow is the oldest at around 18.

The thing is they wouldn't be able to show half the things they do on the show if they were portrayed accurately. There was supposed to be a time skip in the books, of 2 to 5 years. That never happend.

Plus the seasons on Westeros are different, a season can last for years. Martin is very vague with the passage of time.

Exactly. There were many roads that lead to the Red Wedding. The most recent being the killing of Lord Karstark. The lost of half of his army necessitated the need for Frey reinforcements. That said, we also have to think about something else.....even if Robb had avoided the Red Wedding, he still would have caught the L sooner or later because Bolton was in the Lannister's service waiting for an ideal time to betray Robb. The wedding was a perfect opportunity especially with being able to partner with a spiteful bastard who was more than anxious to show the mighty Starks you just don't shit on his family. Frey is that dude who as someone commented earlier, is just angry he's viewed as a lesser family despite having as much wealth or more than families that look down on him. Him having Tywin and Roose to back him allowed him to show his ass and not give a fuck.

In my opinion Tywin was the chief architect of the event. He is a master of putting the pieces of the puzzle together to fuck you. Also, Karstark would have surely killed Jaime had he stayed captive in the Stark camp thus ensuring Tywin sending Sansa's head back to Robb and Cat in a box....fuck marrying her off to stake claim to Winterfell. He would really have duplicated what he did to the Rains of Castamere if he got the chance.

Oh and if the Starks were a real family that would be the Kennedys and the Lannisters would be the Bush family.
