It just annoys me that the Starks are not as cunning as the lannisters and continue to take L's.

That's an understatement...but I digress
Ya it's been posted already in the book section

But little finger is a one man wrecking crew, dude is no joke.
That eddard stark "honor" shit serves no purpose when your enemy operates by any means necessary. But little finger is a one man wrecking crew, dude is no joke. And I thought twyin lannister stood alone when it came to scheming.
he was a soldier messin around with politicians, like eisenhower or ulysses s. grant or someshit, just wasnt his game.
im only half way through storm of swords, they're kind of loosing me because the progression of the story has gone to a crawl. Or atleast the progression of the characters i like.
Storm of swords is my favorite one so far, keep reading, the entire complexion of the game changes......... I'm just pissed that the feast for crows barely covers what is going down at the wall when things start to take off.
Supposedly the dance of dragons tells things from jon's point of view, he does not have any chapters in the feast for crows.
That shit was infuriating![]()
Game of Thrones is nominated for 13 Emmy's including Best Drama and Best Supporting Actor nominee Peter Dinklage(Tyrion)
If this dont get atleast 6 or 7 Emmy's which includes best Drama Im kicking somebody's ass
The Dance of dragons is pretty good so far. I see someone long thought dead has made a appearance.
I was about to comment on that.....I've been reading alot of great reviews of it.
Im still stuck on the first Theon chapter in the second book(its been 2 months now)....my god dayum computer wont let me read or listen to it...![]()
Is this tyrion?

Finished the series in one day, and it was fucking epic

This is exactly how i took it too. He was a different breed totally out of his element. Playing by rules he knew and lived his life by. In a place where the rules were totally different. Robert knew this and it's kind of why i don't like about this story is that Robet knew how Ned was. Robert himself was once like Ned.
So why did Rob subject Ned to this type of place KNOWING what Ned was going to be up against.
That just bothers me and it's like the 1 flaw i see in this story.
He brought him in because of selfish reasons, robert even alluded to that much in the show and book. He was tired of dealing with the bureacracy, scheming, and deceit so he called upon eddard his best friend to deal with it and give it to him straight as the hand of the king. Robert trusted no one else and Eddard was closer to him then roberts own blood brothers stannis and ridley.
Furthermore, although Robert had been the king for 14 years or so he was still a soldier at heart and even he was still ignorant to the level of treachery which enveloped him despite years of hands on experience. Recall that robert was totally oblivious about all of the children he shared with ceirce being the progeny of her brother Jaime. Yet varys and little finger knew because they knew how to play the game and relied on cunning whereas Robert preferred brute strength to overwhelm his advisories.
Thanks. Yeah i get it now. I think i wanted to see a big difference between Robert and Ned. But i guess really there isn't 1. Not as big a 1 as i thought.

The new rule when reading this series is that if a character's death or apparent death happens "off screen" and no physical body parts are around to confirm the death, then it's better than 50% chance that that character is not dead.
My Quick Reaction (2/3 through the book)
1. The Dornish are no joke. They got more schemes than anyone (Almost on the level of Varys)
2. Jon Snow is learning to play the game very well.
3. Danarys is kinda meh this time around after going buckwild in Book 3. I suspect their will be a cliff hanger ending with her toward the end
4. Tyrion is still funny and clever, but no Bronn to back him up means he takes his lumps
5. Lord Vary's has his hand in every damn thing
There's no way this series comes intact to the small screen. Its just too big with too many characters now. I predict the whole Dorne element gets cut from the Tv series if it makes it past season 2.
