I started this show on Wednesday and just finished all 10 episodes. I absolutely became a fan after the first 30 minutes of the 1st episode.
And for those who ask why black men are so adverse to reading... I do not read fantasy, I watch it. I would much rather watch a movie about fiction then to read a book about it.

Sounds like he was probably 'pleasantly surprised' that a random brutha (possibly 'from the hood')... was so INTO the show / and was so visibly upset by Ned's death.

Thomas Covenant chronicles by Stephen R Donaldson is (Have been reading since a teeny booper, late 70's till current) fantasy and some of the most intense reading ever penned in my opinion. I will look these books over now that I've seen series, open mind and all...........
