Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

So we know house Terrell is extinct.

Does martell exist anymore?

Does baratheon exist anymore?

House Martell is gone too.

- The Mountain killed Oberyn.
- Elaria Sand killed Doran in his wheelchair. (He was Oberyn's older brother + the King of Dorne)
- The Sand Snakes killed Prince Trystane on the boat. (He was Marcella Lannister's boyfriend + King Doran's son)
- There might be more, but they haven't mentioned any other Martell's on the tv show. :dunno:

House Baratheon has 1 sole survivor.
- None of Cersei's kids were true Baratheons. :smh:
- King Robert got killed by a boar. (He was the eldest)
- Stannis killed Renly, in season 2. (Renly was the youngest)
- Stannis killed his own daughter (Princess Shireen) in season 5.
- Stannis' Wife (Queen Selyse) committed suicide, in season 5.
- The Boltons killed Stannis, in season 5. (Stannis was the middle son)
- King Joffrey killed 99% of Robert Baratheon's bastard children, in season 2.
- Gendry is the last surviving member of House Baratheon.

Are they really gone though? Aunts, cousions? Immediate family might be gone but someone must be there to inherit

True... there could be 'distant cousins' lurking around somewhere :dunno:... but NONE have been mentioned on the tv show...was my point.

So, as far as the 'tv audience' is concerned...

:itsawrap:

shit, I missed my calling then. I'm tall, but I got a big ass head  I admit it... when I was little, my brother an his friends used to make me cry calling me this dude (come back here you rab-bit)

its just one of those things the shows neglects to mention. Its unrealistic to think there were only 3 Baratheons in all of Westeros

don't worry...karma will get him when that shit start spying on him

I have one. I haven't been taking advantage of all the features tho. I like that it can read my kindle books. Not as pleasant as the actual audible books, but it gets the job done.

I used to burn the stuff I downloaded to DVD, now everything is on the PC or HD and I view on my tv using plex and a roku. I'm too lazy to use dvds now. I just have to pray my stuff doesn't crash.

I have so many tapes ive been saying i would get converted to dvd for over a decade and half now.. Im not even sure if i will or wont at this point.. We've actually aged to a point where some of those worthless VHS tapes are now going for good money.
Blockbuster > Netflix
Nothing beats going to blockbuster and renting a movie only on how the cover looks
Back in the day

I was scanning the net for Winds of Winter excerpts recently and I see Princess Marianne? Of House Martell still has POV chapters in the next book.

The showrunners really shortchanged the Dornish on the show. GRRM must have told them early-on that they weren't gonna play a major role in the final resolution of the story.

my guess is the books will go in a very different direction than the shows
since they ran out of the book material the plots have been very simple sometimes trite... and they have painfully avoided adding further complexity or depth to any of the plot lines

everything has flowed pretty easily since s6 with out any jarring twists to the viewers - also the characters and their motives and plans like Elaria, Martell, Olenna etc are not the same on TV

Here are a few examples:
its extremely unlikely that Elaria will choose to kill Martell or Tristane in the books... or even be able to because of how Martell moves in the books - AND because his plans -almost 20 years in development in coordination with Varis etc -just kicked into high gear

Victarion is not a comical villain in the books and is currently positioned with the first opportunity to give Danny a fleet- as the story goes now its very unlikely any Ironborn ally with Cersi - both Asha/Yara and Theon are more likely to stay in the North

There is a very good chance Stannis doesn't get killed by Brienne... nor that Sansa gets to watch Ramsay's dogs eat him... GRRM rarely allows catharsis and such neat comeuppance like that

my gut feeling -based on Lady Stonheart and Berric -is that Jon's resurrection will be more violent and much more complicated than the story told on TV

Blockbuster didnt really have a good selection like the "mom & pop" video stores did IMO.. had to look hard to see if they had videos with these openings

Back to game of thrones

I hope we see a lady Mormont and dany scene together , she not gonna put up with the bend the knee shit

Everyone is going to bend the knee if they live through their experience with those white walkers.

from a GoT wiki page http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/House_Baratheon

Note: Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen are claimed to be the children of King Robert Baratheon, but actually were born of incest between Queen Cersei and her twin brother, Ser Jaime Lannister. Thus, Stannis was Robert's lawful heir before his death. With the deaths of Stannis and Shireen, the bloodline of House Baratheon is legally extinct (Gendry is an unacknowledged bastard of Robert Baratheon and thus not entitled to claim the Baratheon name). With the death of Tommen, the people of Westeros start to believe that House Baratheon is completely extinct.

The only "Baratheon" left would be Gendry and he's technically a bastard hence the last name Waters. He could still get the Baratheon name though if one of the queens or kings give him the title. He was the only one of Robert's bastards that Cersei wasn't able to kill. Renly was gay so no kids there and we know what Stannis did to his daughter.
The Martells are gone as well. Cersei covered her bases. Less competition.

there was alot of fans not pleased with the sand snakes storyline.

glad I waited...720/1080 copies have leaked...y'all know where to get em!

For @LSN only:

I've only come across 720 streams so far but the "spoiled king" in me wants the 1080. Have you come across any 1080 streaming (not interested in DL or torrent) links?

This got me thinking. By Season 2, we already knew Stannis' wife Selyse couldn't bear any more kids. So even if she didn't commit suicide, the only way Stannis (and therefore the Baratheon) line could continue was for Shireen to survive long enough to get married and have kids of her own (or would she just become a member of the house she married into?). Either way that makes Stannis decision to sacrifice his daughter even more drastic. He basically killed off his whole family line for a shot at defeating ONE army in the North. :smh:

My guess if the good guys win they will legitimize Gendry. Probably another reason why they had the scene where Gendry told Jon who he was. So Gendy has some pretty decent plot armor now. He's going to be involved in forging and dragon glass weapons and, potentially, is needed to resurrect the noble house of Baratheon.

She didn't tell him because he wasn't listening to a word she said. He thought he knew everything. In other words, he couldn't be trusted because Stark men are idiots. It has been shown in the books and show time and time again. They don't listen to their women. Catlin betrayed Robb because Robb wouldn't listen. She was always telling Rob and Ned what to do and how to lead. Go rewatch the shows.

Back to Sansa. She is learning how to be a Queen. She is the rightful Queen of the North.

How is Sansa the hero when she was the one that didn't say shit about the alliance with the Vale....She was the one that was bitching about Jon not doing anything, while he was trying to get the North to back him up yet she didn't say one word about the Vale. The North lost a lot of men, because of her stupidity.

And,how would he ruined it,when he has more experience than her in the battlefield.

The reason the Vale were so successful was one word. "Surprise".
It was a surprise sneak attack on an army that was already tired.

What is wrong with ya'll?

Sansa didn't tell Jon for many reason and one was strategy.

Just like now. Sansa is plotting against Littlefinger and y'all don't even see it.

Sansa is a Doctor Doom level strategist.

^^ Exactly. Agreed.

Sansa could have SAVED alot of Northmen & Wildling lives, if she had just told the truth.
Because they would have WON alot sooner.

Sshhhheeeiiiittt.... she might've even saved Rickon's life as well.

Because since Ramsey KNEW (ahead of time) that his Army severely outnumbered Jon's Army.... he used Rickon as 'target practice' in order to 'provoke' Jon & his men into 'charging forward'.... to lure them away from their fortified position & slaughter them, wholesale. With a barrage of arrows.

I bet if Ramsey had seen ALL THOSE MOUNTED KNIGHTS on horseback... before the battle started... he prolly would've changed his whole gameplan.

Because even if the Boltons tried to mow them down with arrows, it would not have worked out like they anticipated :smh:... because the Knights of the Vale would have charged right past the range of all the archers. And took out their cavalry. Immediately.

The Vale had at least 3x times as many War Horses as the Boltons had. (If not much more)

So the Bolton archers would not have had the benefit of using an 'organized launch' (from a standstill) if they were caught right in the middle of a massive BUMRUSH of Armored Knights, all on horseback, scrambling through their frontlines & all their battlefield formations... while Jon & the Wildlings are slugging it out with the rest of Ramsey's infantry, on foot.

Ramsey would have been out there... scrambling around like a quarterback trying to avoid a sack ... while yelling 'audibles' n shit... or running his ass straight back to Winterfell.
