Damn...good points. Their plan did lack Testosterone.They need to just attack at full strength instead of getting cute. The Seven Kingdoms aren't really riding for Cersei. Just last season everyone in Kings Landing literally were throwing shit at her. If they saw that big ass army and 3 dragons, they all bending the knee.
Am I the only one who caught how Arya was twirling around her dagger before she showed it to Brienne? She's become pretty damn good with her fighting/assassin skills. Even her evading the movements by the guards at the gate are testament to how much her skillset has improved

The guy was called Locke in the show. I think in the books the guy who cut off Jamie's hand was Vargo Hoat. After that scene Locke somehow ended up hooking up with Roose or Reece Bolton and was ordered to infiltrate the Nights Watch in order to find Bran and Rickon after they got away from Theon. He ends up going on the raid to Craster's keep with Jon Snow and just happens to stumble upon Bran, Hodor and Meera in a cave. He tries to run off with Bran, but Bran wargs into Hodor and basically breaks his neck as Hodor.
None of that was in the book, btw, that whole sub plot on the show was kinda silly because too many implausible things had to happen for Locke to get anywhere near Bran and Meera where. I think the intent was to make you think there was going to be an early Stark reunion and they used Locke to spoil it.
Assist... The guy who chopped off Jamie's hand is named Locke. He was a mercenary for the Bolton Family.
As part of the Bolton plans to control the North... Roose & Ramsay send Locke out to kill the remaining male Starks, so they could never challenge the Bolton claim to be the Warden of the North.
Theon/Reek admitted to Ramsay that he never actually killed Bran & Rickon, but he did not know their whereabouts. So the Boltons send Locke to Castle Black. They figured Jon Snow was either hiding Bran & Rickon, or would know where they were hiding. And if Jon didn't have any useful information, then Locke would just kill him & keep it moving.
Locke befriends Jon Snow at Castle Black.
Soon he volunteers to join Jon on a 'stealth mission' to eliminate Karl Tanner and the rest of the fugitives of the Nights Watch who committed muntiny & killed Lord Commander Mormont & took control of Craster's Keep.
During all the commotion... Locke discovers that Bran, Hodor, Meera & Jojen are being held hostage in a cabin not too far away from the main house at Crasters Keep. So he tries to use all the mayhem as a distraction to kill Bran, but Bran wargs into Hodor and uses him to snap Locke's neck. Which ends the Boltons plans to eliminate the remaining Starks.

I've noticed the 'book readers' have a real bad habit of dissing & over-criticizing everything that happens on the tv show.... that they DID NOT know about, in advance.

Makes sense that all of them would eventually show up there, sooner or later.

I don't see Drogon dying right away but I think he's definitely on the way out. That Black Arrow wasn't like the spares back in Mareen. I doubt Drogon could just shake that off as easily.
When Drogon dies, maybe we'll finally get to see Dany and Jon dragon ride together. Jon could ride Rhaegal and Dany on Viserion.

locke was told to the night watch to kill jon snow , just incase he tries to reclaim winterfell. when jon was granted permission to go beyond the wall to kill the night watch deserters who killed the commander, locke volunteered. unknown to them, bran rickon and the rest of them got caught by the deflectors. when jon's team got there and started warring , locke found bran and was trying to take him. bran took over hodor's mind and brutally broke locke's neck to the point bone was sticking out. when jon and the team found him, jon said only a beast can do something like that. jon never knew locke was there to kill him.
littlefinger is so out of his comfort zone right now. jon won't entertain his bullshit jargon. bran literally sees through his bullshit. ariya is a battle tested , killing machine. sansa is methodical after the events that took place with her. little finger still wants sansa. all of this shit that being happening to the starks is because of him. just to get what he wants. the kingdom and his wife. that's the long con. but walls are closing in. he gotta figure out how to keep the ball in his court.

Something they didn't do and probably should have.... send some people ahead with some ravens to detect troop movements. Easier said than done, I know, but shit that's what you do. Casterly Rock was emptied out and they had no idea.
I said earlier, I think the board is wrong about her not evolving. Bran doesn't want to be king. Jon will prolly get himself killed. Arya to Sansa is her only competition. That Is what the look was about. They all evolved, Sansa has become the ruthless one.
