Plus, I assume she will probably free the slaves, or give them the option to stay, or leave on their own. Same offer she made to everyone in her original camp, last season, when they all got lost in the desert, right before she met that black dude that stole her dragons.

Y'all really should just read the books. It's interesting seeing the thoughts and theories of people that didn't read them. The show is doing a really good job of showing things and foreshadowing. Not really a hard read either, the books are just big as hell.

i'm reading the books after the show is done..this is good TV i don't want to ruin that. And from what i've heard the books are crap after the 3rd one.

I disagree partially, but the 4th book is boring to me. I liked the 5th book but it is not on par with books 1-3.
 
Question for those who've read the books... should l start at book 2 since l already saw Season 1? Or did l miss too much in the first book?

the first book is pretty identical to the first season, with a few changes. i wouldnt call them major changes. Its not like Walking Dead. You can start the second.

No, read the first one too, as it drops some interesting hints about Jon Snows parentage.

I wouldn't wait for the show to be over to read the books, at the rate grr Martin is going we're talking 2020+ by the time they're done. Dude told the producers how it ends in case he dies before he finishes. There's no telling if winds of winter will split into another book. He's already putting chapters that didn't make it into a dance with dragons into it.

Khal Drogo wasn't black. But I think the reason she is in closer contact with the "brown" people on the issue is due to her being in exile. GOT relegates most of its non-white, non-medieval European-type characters to the lands outside of Westeros.

His character grows on you. I felt the same way when I read/listened to the books.
