I'm thinking about possible scenario's given where the major players are currently in play and I can't see Dany reaching Westeros til the last few episodes of NEXT season.

I don't see Tommen making it past the season finale, but I bet the the Iron throne will not have a new resident until A Stark is back and Winterfell and the North is Unified again.

Dany is back in Mereen, but since she took the dragon express, the rest of her Army won't be there for a while which I agree will likely end with Yara and Theon showing up to save the day.

So next season I think Dany has to stabilize Mereen, make deals with the Iron born, Go back and kick the slaver ass in Astapor and Yunaki for going back on their word to Tyrion AND THEN she then can start thinking about heading to Westeros.

If Ramsay is defeated this year (They better not end that shit on a cliffhanger of two armies rushing towards each other), then I think Arya sets up shop in Winterfell. If the white walker's are not a clear and present danger then I'm guessing she will try to consolidate the North. They may even move against the Frey's.

Littlefinger will do some shady shit that will probably cause some more Stark setbacks.

Vary's will pop up in Kings Landing to do the same for any of the Lannisters/Priests still alive.

All those shenanigans will give Sam time to learn whatever it is he needs to know and Jon to convince more people that white walkers are real and coming soon.

I think they need at least a full season (even a short one) to deal with the real threat in the North, but they've got to consolidate Westeros under some legit leadership first.

Open questions:

What about Margaery? Does she claim to be knocked up with Tommen's seed prior to his death? Will that matter?

What about Euron? He should be building ships for at least half a season, but eventually he's got to play some role.

Does Jorah get cured? Does it matter?

Will Dorne come back into play? They should be sympathetic to Dany, but you never know. I could see Vary's working with them.

Here is a question, which Stark made the most egregious decision?

1. Ned for not listening to Renly, trusting Littlefinger, and being too fucking honorable when it came to Robert and the crown
2. Caitlyn for snatching up Tyrion in the first place and then letting Jaime go when he was a prisoner and basically starting a war with the Lannisters

I think #3 by Caitlyn is the worse. Her actions set off the whole Stark/Lannister war. If she doesn't kidnap Tyrion the other stuff doesn't happen. She had no proof, no plan, nothing. Just a letter from her sister written in Littlefinger's handwriting (j/k). Stupid move.

But I think that Marjorie is playing the High Sparrow. She told him that SHE wasn't interested in sleeping with Tommen... But I think that's a lie.

Mainly because Majorie also lied to Joffrey about Renly, in the same fashion.

Back in season 2, Marjorie blamed HERSELF for all of Renly's fuckery... instead of telling Joffrey the truth about Renly's sexual orientation.

Joffrey had heard all the rumors.
He knew Renly was gay.

But even after he was dead, she could have very easily 'spilled the beans' and confirmed all the rumors about Renly in the scene below.

I'm someone whom has read the books, and watched the show. It doesn't matter to me what they say as far as differences. My issue is that of "story telling." The show is moving in slow motion to "Me." They have the man who wrote the sh*t on board, they could tell/show us a better story than what they are doing.

Who gives a f*ck about Edmure Tully? I'd rather they spend that time on Jaqen H'ghar or the Nights King. Those are the real G's in the show. They have a lot of rich material that they can work with. Instead, they are planning to wrap the show up quickly, so the story telling is suffering to me. They are killing time with "the Brothers of no Banners and the Freys. Who wants to see those characters, they are Busters? If you like it... Cool. I think that they could do better though.

It's not a letdown YET. we've had 2 really good setup episodes. however they need to lead to SOMETHING these last couple. If the rest of the season is just a setup to next year? then it was a waste of time cause you not coming with another season until 2017.
so if shit starts happening ACTION wise and MAJOR MOVES wise then it'll be on par with the other seasons easily to me. I am interested in everything that happened however there needs to be a balance. that's what makes the show what it is. there is a balance. there is this deep discussion about the stories AND there is just crazy ass action and fighting and war that is beautifully done with lots of oh shit moments. so we've gotten 1 side of it. let's get the other side.

I'm not quite sure who's on the ships shooting fire at Mereen. But, if it's the "Masters", let's hope that they have the women warriors of Qarth.
