yep and that scene is why even though I read the books, the TV show is worth watching. In that scene they explained something that took the Book Author 4 books to finally make clear.
My memory is a lil foggy. I didn't even know who the fuck that group of people was.
You wouldn't know them, they are new players in the game.
The people you are referring to are Stannis Baratheon people. He is the brother of the former king Robert and he is the recepient of the letter Ed Stark sent during season 1 when he found out Roberts kids were actually Jaime's. Also if you noticed in the intro during the song it shows a new area on the map (Dragonstone, which is where Stannis is) other than kings landing, winterfell, the wall, etc.
I was distracted when watching and missed this part. I only caught the guy dying. I will try to rewatch it this week.
Right..and who were the people at the end killing the babies and boys? I missed a bunch leading up to that .

i find it incredibly funny that Joffrey took the worst qualities of his mother and his father and turned into an evil child who will only become more evil as he gets older... when he mentioned he could kill his mom and told her she'll never do it again she knew he was serious
Robb is the man last season we left he was kind of coming into his own now he's his own man and his own king. When he had to let his mom know what he needed her to do...he laid it out so she had no choice to but to say damn alright then... haha
and the way he spoke to King slayer we left him and he was cocky as hell....Robb got the wolf out and left that man SHOOK.
They aren't taking ANY chances they out there killing kids!
Only complaint they didn't even really put that much time on Khaleesi but hopefully there will be more to come.

They were the Kings guard/Lannisters people (specifically Cercei) and they were killing off all of Roberts basterd kids so they would have no claim to the throne.

the first season followed the first book pretty damn close minus some dialogue the writers added on their own. if peeps would just indicate they are about to drop a spoiler in bold print before continuing their post things would go a lot smoother for everybody.
