Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Built

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

Great job on the deflection and misdirection in this post. A stunning maneuver on the part of disappointed Samsung users to attempt to make us forget that Samsung made a iPhone 6. Masterful.

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

So basically u'r admitting there is no difference between the note 3 and note 4 that impacted u'r daily life.

Yours Truly.....Professor.

I wouldn't know that because I never had the note 3.

I went from note 2 to 4.

I'm just saying that I love my 4 so I will wait another year and cop the 6 when it drops.

In sure the outrage will be so strong that they will have removable batteries and expandable memory back by then.

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

LG is just a copycat company
They will switch things up b/c Samsung & HTC are switching things up
Here's a news article from yesterday about LG's new phone, THE G4....

LG’s G4 will reportedly be ‘radically’ different from the G3

:cool::cool::cool:

Well I just got the G3 a month ago before that had the s3 so I'm good for a few years. G3 has a removable battery and SD slot. Sales most likely went up so doubt they drop the options. After far as the fools talking about Samsung made an iPhone 6 uhhh the iPhone 6 is a fake ass Note so wtf you talking about? Either way iPhone isn't the first to lack key features outside of the no picture messages at the beginning nothing is proprietary to where they were the first.

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

Now that they confirmed no removable battery or SD slot RIP SAMSUNG. Will move on to the LG G Series from now on. Seems like they're going in the right direction.

LG G4 to be radically different from the G3, will be unveiled after April's debut of LG UX 4

LG-bigwig-LG-G4-to-be-radically-different-from-the-G3-will-be-unveiled-after-Aprils-debut-of-LG-UX-4.jpg

We've been paying a lot of attention to the Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 edge and the HTC One M9 over the past few days, but today one of the larger smartphone makers - LG - just reminded us about itself and unveiled what we should expect from its upcoming flagship. We're talking about the LG G4, a device that will take the crown from G3's "head" in the following months.

The chief of LG's mobile division, Cho Juno, just spilled the beans and unveiled that the LG G4 will be radically different from the G3 (hopefully a metal body), which will finally put it on par with the rest of the manufacturers that have been using such materials for some time now. What's more, the next LG flagship will most certainly makes use of an LG-made chipset inside and not a Qualcomm Snapdragon one, which falls in line with the rumors that we had heard before. LG clearly wants to secede from the Qualcomm dependence.

Juno also revealed that LG will announce the G4 only after its upcoming LG UX 4 breaks cover: "We will announce LG UX 4.0 before announcing the LG G4. I think it is simply the best and the issue is how to best fit the new UX system into the G4 smartphone". Okay, bring it on already.

Last, but not least, Mr Juno revealed that LG is impressed by Samsung's new flagship and the hardware prowess that it boasts and is hoping that its G4 will be an equally-impressive device. "Samsung did a very good job with the Galaxy S6 smartphone. I believe our G4 will also be good. With higher expectations, LG put huge resources into the LG G4," Cho claimed. He added that LG will aim to be the third-largest smartphone manufacturer by sales in 2015, thus we should expect an aggressive marketing of the upcoming G4 in the States ans South Korea.

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

LG might not make the switch to non-removable batteries or SD cards but they will after a generation or two.

The LG G3 feels cheap btw.

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

The lack of a removable battery and SD card slot are not changes I will personally lament, but yeah, they're gone. With quick charging technology, though, it's becoming harder and harder to justify the true need for swappable batteries unless you're a real phone road warrior, in which case, why don't you have a car charger? Or a battery case? I know there will always be special situations, but Samsung was sacrificing the kind of beautiful industrial design we see here in the name of a small subset of buyers by keeping those crappy plastic covers around. I think for all the internet comment angst that may arise, Samsung's made the objectively correct decision on this. If you want a larger battery, there will likely be a booming marketplace of accessory makers ready to slap a big lump of lithium-ion infused plastic on your S6 at competitive prices.
These are exactly the things I was saying in the "Leaked Samsung Galaxy Images" thread.

so samsung made an iphone.

The elephant in the room.

  • fingerprint scanner for payment
  • bottom placement of speaker jack
  • bottom placement of speaker
  • no SD slot
  • 32, 64 and 128 GB models
  • no removable battery
  • glass and metal construction
  • redesign of earbuds to resemble apple's recent earbud redesign
The rear form factor resembles an iPhone 4

Call a spade a spade

I have zero interest in purchasing another Samsung phone or Android phone for that matter.
But if I was, I'd be tempted to pick one of these up.

Pretty much. I'm really gonna be interested in seeing how sales will compare with the launch of the S5.

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

I'll have to give the S6 a close study. Still it will be hard giving up my Nexus 5 for a Samsung phone. Also gotta check the HTC M9.

Got a soft spot for HTC....they made my first Android phone. The HTC Hero back in my Sprint days:

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

I guess I'll stick with the HTC One line. SMH

Ok, on this, I'm going to have to say I agree. I have the note 3 and saw no difference to get the Note 4. As a matter of fact unless I don't see all the functions, I think the S5 is nicer than the Note 3 & 4 but I could be wrong.

I'm a Samsung Chick so yall keep that iphone talk

so samsung made an iphone.

Not really. Samsung been had the latest iPhone design on one of their older models. Apple actually copied Samsung this time. And sorry for the big ass pic.

no... cant argue the build quality of Apple,HTC or Sony in fact if I were in the market for a phone prior to the s6 Samsung would have been very low on the list...

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

If samsung drops the removeable battery and memory card from the note series I will disown them as my company of choice for all things phone related. This iPhone d*ck riding is now blatant. I invest too much in my tech for a company to limit my options.

I use to think that about the removable battery, but the battery performance of my note 4 has caused me to rethink my position. I'm hoping the note series follows the design language of the s6.

They're just going with where the technology is going.

Furniture will have wireless charging built in and I'm pretty sure cars will too.

They're innovating (not being sarcastic) and pushing a standard.

All others will have no choice but to follow suit.

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

hope its not true, S6 edges don't register touches,

Is the honeymoon over already? Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge flagship smartphones less than a week ago, and eager Android fans have been fawning over them ever since. We spent some time with both the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge ahead of Samsung’s announcements, and we can tell you that the hype is indeed warranted.

But according to a new report issued on Thursday, Samsung’s new smartphones may be plagued by a serious hardware problem that cannot be fixed in handsets that have already been built — which means millions of units could potentially be impacted.
http://bgr.com/2015/03/06/galaxy-s6-vs-htc-one-m9-specs-comparison-ftb/
Samsung’s new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge mark a complete departure from the norm for Samsung. The phones finally have premium housings to compliment their premium internal components, and the result is fantastic.
But a recent report suggests that Samsung’s gorgeous new hardware may have a serious problem.

G For Games points us to a report from South Korea-based Asia Today, which may

have discovered the issue. According to the Korean news site, the edges of Samsung’s displays do not register touches at all. The problem is apparently much more serious on the S6 model than on the S6 edge, and you can see an illustration of the issue in the video below.
The Galaxy S6 in that video is running a test app that fills in the display with black as you touch each area. As you can see in the video, the edges of the phone’s screen are indeed not registering any touches.
If that is the case, this may not be an issue that can be fixed with a software patch, as the physical components responsible for registering touch input are likely at fault.
We have reached out to Samsung for a comment and will update this post with any official statement the company provides us with.

:hmm: we talking about a mm of space on the edge of the screen?
that happens on more phones than you might think... just reproduced it on my wife's S3

Re: Galaxy S6 And S6 edge Hands-On: This Is The Nicest Android Phone Any1 Has Ever Bu

An even better version of the Galaxy S6 is coming, but it won’t be available at launch

galaxy-s5-active-official.jpg

Samsung had a thoroughly impressive showing at MWC 2015 this year. Both the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge received near-universal praise for their sleek design and impressive spec sheets, but it looks like Samsung isn’t taking any time off to celebrate this much needed victory.

Over the weekend, mobile tipster Upleaks sent out a tweet that mentioned a new device with the model number SM-G890A. A User Agent Profile for the device was then discovered on Samsung’s website, and although there aren’t any other clues as to what the device will be, the model number seems to line up with Samsung’s Active line of smartphones, possibly indicating an impending announcement for the Galaxy S6 Active.

“It lines up nicely as the successor to the Galaxy S5 Active which carried model number SM-G870A on AT&T,” SamMobile notes.

If Samsung does decide to bring its Active line to the next generation, it’s likely that the phone will have a different design to accommodate for the added dust and water resistance, but the profile indicates that the unannounced model will retain the 1440 x 2560 Quad HD display of the standard Galaxy S6.

Be sure to check out our hands-on impressions of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge if you haven’t already.
