FUCK NICKELODEON...

still kind of baffled at how Nickelodeon turned this into a tv show

I'm too the point you just can't run from it. Its normalized now. It is what is now

But WHO'S "normal"?
This isnt an attack, but diminishing this sort of thing is akin to telling our black and brown kids that the police WILL eventually kill them at some point or - back on topic - its cool to like and date people of the same sex. Some people want their children to grow up without the constant bombardment of views and images that do not reflect thier own and the ones in their homes and communities. I have a son and though tv feels its ok to push agendas on toddlers and pre-teens, I do not.
So let the world find ways to normalize behaviors that some may find deviant, I will continue to teach him to be proud he's a young man of color, to protect other people of color - especially the women. To respect himself and his family name. That its ok to be masculine. You get it...
Peace.

 Yessir

your speaking of TV im talking bout in everyday life

schools
books
magazines
malls
you cant run from it

Example had to really explain to my seeds why the neighbors daughter had two moms.....They got a new pool and ask if my kids wanted to come to their party......I said I would ask them.......I never did. they believe its because they're gay but it was really because they're white

I agree though fam...we gotta be vigilant.

...

Yeah...agree with most of this.

But leave Steven Universe out of this. WE see that shit but the show gives you such good feels about friendship and acceptance, my kids don't notice. If you don't make it a big deal sometimes, they won't get it.

SU gets a pass.

I know that the show is popular.....
but that Jerry Seinfeld looking cac wears a pink t-shirt, pink flip flops and has a (pink) belly button gem. Back in the day nobody on my entire block would have tuned in to watch that show with those type of undertones and imagery.

I'm pretty sure that's the man point. Be a parent and YOU control the content.

TV have been pushing all types of shit since it's started. Gay shit is just the next thing.

But constant bombardment of views and images YOU don't want to see goes both ways. Lots of shit I don't want to see, so I don't. For my daughter I monitor content. Can't protect kids from everything. Gay shit was easy to explain in comparison to racism and religion.

I just want to point out that 80s kids grew up in a time where you had 3 white men hit each other over the head with a sledgehammer, repeatedly poked each other in the eye, and grabbed someone noise with a pair of scissors.... with no one suffering the slightest bit of damage..

We also grew up when every other cartoon involved somekind of war.... and where the leads in two of most popular cartoons both died .. one from a laser blast to the chest and the other from a Snake spear to the heart...

I came out fine. My mom had to explain that shit to me. Entertainment changes... people need to adapt. Just like how White people had to adapt when African Americans started getting groundbreaking roles on Tv. Are when women got roles that didn't involve them being just a house wife. Times change...

The homosexual tainted is being applied by those controlling the media, who are homosexuals themselves. The agenda is to make the unacceptable, accepted as normal. By injecting homosexually suggestive material into different facets of society, they hope to make homosexuality the accepted norm. The tight fitting mens clothes, wearing pants below the buttox, metrosexual styles, suggestive music videos with thuggish spokespeople like young thug, Chris Brown, tyga, quan and such. Soaps with gay plots etc. It is all part of the extinction agenda protocol. Get woke!

Definitely not a good look, but let me ask...why are you watching Nickelodeon in the first place?

EPIC .....reply failure in a thread......you are ordered to now LEAVE this thread and turn in any B.G.O.L. credentials in your possession !!!! :smh::smh::smh::hmm:

I agreed with him and I agree with you. It doesn't have to be "our" norm, but dialogue is needed for what is being passed off as commonplace.

Another reason father's need to take the lead in these situations. Women are always more accepting of male homosexuality(which is kind of ironic since bitches complain about men acting like bitches, not being "real men", where are all the masculine men? etc.)

LOL
Never noticed that.
But it's a good show.

I thought you watched SU? *thinks* all of the ...same gem relationships there are all women. There aren't any 'men' gems, except for Steven.

Honestly I love me some RuPaul, and RPDR. But my kids don't watch it, (the show...if they wanted to know who Ru was and wanted to watch "Supermodel" I'd at least answer their questions). But it's all in context. I have gay people in my family so, for me, it's not to normalize homosexuality but to show that it exists. This is why auntie or uncle dresses this way, or acts this way, or why she has a girlfriend, etc. I think there has to be some sort of awareness on some level. orange head just banned transpeople from the military - who isn't to say that this won't be a current event assignment when school starts? And I'm not going to say that I agree with ALL of the relationships in SU, but at least there are some deeper meanings and lessons behind the same sex relationships they portray. THIS is why I say SU gets a pass. It's not hitting you over the head that all gems are female and they are in love and do the hibbity, but they explore what it means to love a mother, a father, to love your family, to have a healthy couple relationship (Steven and Connie specifically), what it is to NOT be in a healthy relationship (Lapis and Jasper), and how to heal when you're hurt. Some of these lessons you can't teach and you surely won't find them in other cartoons, but I find them delivered in a very poignant and meaningful manner without being offensive.

I can't speak on this Nickelodeon shit.

Yeah some of the gem backstory episodes were interesting...but they snuck plenty of other stuff in as well.

Wait.

You mean to tell me Pearl consoling Amethyst because she was afraid she was defective because she was being referred to as a runt is a "gay moment"?
I remember that episode and I call bullshit.

The show has it's moments but that is not one of them. That actually goes back to what I've been saying about how the show depicts all types of love and acceptance. Because believe me there is NOTHING romantic going on between Pearl and Amethyst.
