I have to agree about the ending. Anyway there will be a sequel, the movie grossed 42 million this weekend and its budget was only 19 million.

Back with the O.G.'s they had the illest special gore FX nugga ever.....the man TOM-muthafuckin' Savini. I liked it too. Seemed like J was more cunning in this one. Using that girl in sleeping bag and black dude as bait. Also, setting traps and trip wire alarms. Him taking the dead body back to the crib, I thought they were gonna add a little cannibal twist, but they never showed what he ate. It was wild too how they killed all those people before the title screen. I was like ALL RIGHT THIS A MUTHAFUCKIN F******

Thought it was well produced and executed, nothing to write home about. Lacks the raw brutality of the original series. And don't expect a real plot this is a slasher flick not Gone With the Wind. I'm not really into white girls, but I must say they got some fine looking ones in this flick.
Yeah Jason was pretty quick when he was rocking the potato sack in part 2, and in 3 and some of 4 he was still very mobile. Then the whole "Jason's not the killer" shit in part 5, and the return of the undead Vorhees in part 6. When "zombie" Jason came back that's when his strength went through the roof!

Just got back from seeing the movie and all I can say is wow! I am a big Friday the 13th fan and have saw every single movie and this was one of the best films in the series.
What made the move good was the mobility of Jason. He was moving quick and showed emotions of anger. I liked the way he set traps and baited them to kill them. The intro was great also.
For the people talking about the story...there is not much else you can write about. Jason is a slasher movie and not meant to be heavily plot driven.

First off, before you go camping, you are gonna google "crystal lake", the first thing that will pop us is "x amount of people killed or missing, killer not found", but yet these people still decide to go?
next: Its mentioned that jason is retarded or whatever, but yet he can shoot a bow and arrow from about 100 feet away and hit you in the head? along these same lines, jason kills all these people, yet hes smart enough to clean up the whole area so the cops cant find not one clue? All the blood dripping from bodies and they couldnt find anything.
next: he has a house. come on, really. and nobody every bothered to go into this house and check things out? no jehovas witness or nothing?
next: the black guy. You knew it was coming. first, what was with all the "because im black lines?" Do we really need that today? Secondly, when he went to get his boy, no one even tried to stop him. The intros have always been tight & this one lasted over 20 minutes.
This was better than I thought it would be.
Shot well, especially all of the the night scenes.
The kids didn't know if he was retarded or deformed. But after you see the quick shot of his face, it's 100% clear he was just deformed and that's what caused his isolation from the other kids.
I liked that Jason ran. It's bullshit to have people running full speed and get caught by a mofo who is walking casually as hell. This made him more realistic even though the ending was bullshit.
