Forget about the visiting as often as you like part.

I don't have specific numbers for you but Unique visitors ALWAYS count higher towards your traffic score.

Repeat traffic will count up to a point.

That's why I created a list of all of the sites in this post (except the dudes thats trying to fuck it up), bookmarked it and visit all the sites once or twice a week. I do the click-thru links once a week.

Eventually they will notice a pattern and stop counting my clicks.

What you have to worry about is the idiots on the board that go to your site everyday and click every link they see and do 1000 searches (if you have a search bar on your parking page). Those are the ninjas I'm worried about.

NOW..... the other thing im thinking about is instead of parking the domain, to just go ahead and get the host service, and then get the links/clicks that way. is that possible? because i think i'd have a better shot of getting clicks/traffic if i had more control of my site with pictures and stuff. i need to just put up like some pics up and start pimpin up my site.

Tips for Grey:
1. While you are deciding what to do with your site ... park it and get as much traffic flowing through there.
2. Make sure your final website is tested and ready to go before you switch from parking to hosted.
3. Take a couple of weeks BEFORE its hosted to build up, create, plan and implement the direction of your content BEFORE you host.
4. Have a couple of weeks worth of content on standby incase you take a week off or get busy or whatever. Google uses 100 different criteria to rate your site's relevancy. How often its updated, traffic flow and unique visitors are high on that list.

but im not talking about a site like that. im talking about hosting for the sake of having control of the layout and images used on the "parked" page. like i cant change too much on the layout, although it dont bother me too much im just trying to have a lil more control on the layout. but i still want clicks....not content.

how i go about that. cause i know once i go hosted and stop parking the domain then all them clickety click links are gonna be taken away. i wanna retain them all but i wanna put images, background, all in one page. and only one page.

i feel ya.. i was thinking the same shit... there are way more advantages of doing it that way.

1) like you said... you have more control over how the joint looks... you can make it look way more appealing as opposed to having the standard "link farm" look to it.

2) You can control what links you will have on their... getting rid of the stuff that doesnt really fit.. and retaining only pertinent links that people might actually click on.

3) By having that one page... you can make it SEARCHABLE. keywords, tags, meta-information in the header...all that fly shit. so while you're pimping the hell out of that domain, you can have additional traffic coming in from search engine visits.

4) You arent just limited to one joint.. you can use Google AdSense as well as a few other services that let you get paid from clicks.. im not sure(i may be wrong about this particular one... some sevices might only want their ads on the site :confused: )

but yeah... those are some of the advantages... as far as executing it... and how to actually do it... im still not exactly sure.. i have a general idea but someone else may have a better explanation.

Example: Nike is releasing a new product that uses regular words as its name.... example like new shoe by nike. Domainer will buy newshoe.com or nushoo.com or newshoo.com and other variations. Nike can't do shit cuz that name comprises of COMMON words. Now if Nike came up with nikeaza or some weird shit like that. If you try to swoop in on a domain, you might get your ass handed to you. Anyway, this one of the methods domainers find names.

Despite the effort above, domainers are still looking for domains that have traffic. And that's where YOU (the average brotha) comes in....... Come up with a distinctive name involving a product type or hobby that you like. Example: Movie333 or some shit like that. Something distinctive and easy to remember. Here's how you make money off that domain

1) Come up with a SHORT but easy to remember combo of words or words and numbers. Example: Reyreyvids, liltang23, etc etc

REgister it at godaddy or enom or whatever cheap domain registrar. It's usually around $9 a year. Register it for 10 years. Less than $100 for your domain.

2) Park that shit on SEDO.com so you get paid for straggler traffic. The key here is to get a traffic history for your domain.

3) Put that shit on anything you can think of. Your myspace page, friendster, personal profile pics with the domain, anything. Just MARKET THE FUCK out of it. Put it in your email signature line. If punk bitches forward chain emails to your ass, put that shit on there and pass it back to the fool that sent it to you. Use that shit as your sig. Whatever. Just get it out there.

Key point here: No need to know how to build websites. The key is to have your domain associated with whatever you do online. The more you use the net, the more your domain gets out there. Make it a habit.

4) Keep doing that shit and hang on to the domain. Watch your traffic at sedo or wherever you parked it. Once you get enough traffic you can put it up for auction at sedo and other sites like it or ebay.


This doesn't take that much effort. The key is to do this shit as a HABIT. It is like real estate...price only goes up with time and increased exposure. LITTLE TO NO SKILLS INVOLVED.

Most of your traffic will be one time visitors. That's why you need to get the name out there to as many different people as possible. Once you brand your site ... all of these people will have seen/heard the name at least once before.

It takes 27 times for someone to actively notice your ad/site in order for your brand to be permanently imprinted in their mind. For every 3 times they see your ad they only notice it 1 time. The average person will have to be exposed to your ad a total of 81 times before they KNOW and remember who you are.
