First off...props to Dtown for openin cats up to gettin paper online. Ole GreyGoose wanted me to chime in about adult affilliate marketing. Ok first thing...you will only get so far gettin people to go to your pages to click. The real money to be made is in mastering some basic SEO (SearchEngineOptimization) skills. Other than an opt-in email list, this is the best kind of traffic to have. For someone to search for something and your site show up on the first page of the search engine. For highly searched terms you would be talking thousands of hits a day from motivated searchers. However you need a relevant site to make any money, or even to be included in the search engine results. A page full of links ain't gonna cut it. Search engine spiders base relevancy (among other factors), off of the amount and relevancy of the text on the page. A google bot cannot "read" a picture. A google bot cannot "read" a flash animation. So pictures and flash hold little weight.
What you will have to do is research the info on SEO and build or make changes to your site accordingly. This is for people who are gonna stick with this and wanna make the real money. When I say real money I'm talkin about AT LEAST a few hundred bucks a day. The more knowledge you have, the more you're gonna make. You have a choice...hustle hard or hustle smart. Hustle smart doesn't mean less work, it means a greater payoff now and in the long run for the work involved.
Ok greygoose has pussypics.com and is askin for 10k selling price. In the sites present form it's HIGHLY UNLIKELY that anyone is gonna come along and pay that. If I wanted it and he would'nt sell it to me for a hundred bucks I would just make pussy-pic-downloads or hot-pussy-pics or any other variation.
However if greygoose put a blog or some rss feeds on that bitch. Optimized it for SEO. Got it up to page rank of 3 or 4. Got it indexed in google on first page for the search term pussy pics. Now he got something of real value to a potential buyer. He's got a site that get's a few thousand search engine hits a day, which translates to a few thousand a month affiliate income. There's a lot he could do with that site now. He could sell the site, sell backlinks from the site, use it to get other sites he start indexed, etc.
This won't happen overnight. Once you have the knowledge you can do it fairly quickly but there is a learning curve. Everybody is not gonna stick with it and that's what seperates the true playas from the mildly curious or the folx lookin for a way to make some "easy money". All it is is RSS Feeds that will update when the sponsor updates their blog. You don't have to do anything to it. So every few days there will be new content on the page without you having to add it. THis is a basic concept. Now sales is simply a numbers game. Just that one page, even if I put it on first page of yahoo and google for that search term (phat booty porn bitches) will not make much...BUT...I have done THOUSANDS of these types of pages over different free-hosts and hundreds of them are indexed. That's where the money is. Massive numbers.
So I said all that to say is yall are on the right track, but there is a lot of hard work and research to be done to get to that "real money", and it won't be as easy as gettin a bunch of people to click links. That traffic will not last. However if you learn a little SEO and build and buy accordingly, then you ballin internet style.
