So, it's probably a wise decision to blow that $100 or so on cheap hosting. Plus, using wordpress or a custom install gives you the ability to fully customize your shit.

Ingredients:

2) Free blog software. The most common and powerful one is Wordpress. This shit is great cuz i) its 100% free, mothafucka and ii) lots of mofos all over the world create plugins/themes and widgets and all sorts of geek shit for it and iii) cuz its free there's tons of people using and sharing questions and answers re problems or bugs.

3) Hosting. There's tons of cheap ass hosting you can get. If you're running under 5 blogs, you can use a VIRTUAL HOSTING PACKAGE. Virtual hosting means your site is sharing a server with other people's sites. Think of it as a website apartment. Once you get a shitload of traffic, that will be the time to get a DEDICATED SERVER. Think of that as your website house and lot.

4) Content. You can get this shit off funny shit people post here or going to digg.com or fark.com and get funny video links mofos post there. Those nukkas don't mind cuz you driving traffic to they shit, they provide content.


5) Free blog themes: You want your shit to look lively and interesting. Standard blog themes suck ass so try to stir shit up by getting themes. Here's a list of free blog theme sites: (NOTE: Make sure to get themes that match your blog software's version)

My recommended plugin is Sociable--it helps your users share your shit better http://push.cx/sociable

There's tons of other plugins for Adsense, Google Sitemap, etc etc

HINT: Change the date stamp on your post so your software posts when you're not around. LIke post all your shit on Monday but set up the time stamp to post monday, tuesday, wednesday etc. for each of your posts.

1) Make money off your blog. Since you're using blogger, go to your blogger dashboard and you should see a link re adding adsense to your blog. Follow the steps and get the code for adsense and paste it into your side bar or header--whichever you think looks better

They will give you a code and you put it into the template of your blog. Just keep adding content and entries and pimping yo shit for traffic.

Blogger.com is easier. It's free hosting. You can even have your domain redirect to it. But.... your shit is theirs, if they don't like yo shit, they can take yo site with the quickness. Blogger's interface for Adsense is easy, they actually have a feature that allows you to put that shit in. Plus their templates are easy to pimp out.

No problem.

1) Email your NEW host--the one that's cheaper. Ask them for their DNS primary and secondary.

Ask them to ADD your domain to your virtual hosting account or your dedicated server account (whichever type of account you have with them)

2) Log in to your domain name's admin console and under DNS change the DNS settings for your PRIMARY and your SECONDARY DNS.

3) wait 24 hours and your domain should resolve to your new cheaper host.


4) FTP in to your new host account based on the domain info they send you after they set up your domain. Upload your files. You should be able to see them with your new domain.
