Florida Cop Literally Just Shot Unarmed African American With His Hands Up, Begging Not To Be Shot​

Another Florida police officer has shot an unarmed African American. This time, the Florida officer shot and critically wounded a 28-year-old man early Monday during an investigation into a stolen car in Orlando.

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings had little to say about the case besides this, but witnesses claim that the victim, Cedric Bartee, literally had his hands up, begging Sergeant Robert McCarthy not to shoot.

Bartee had his hands in the air, but in spite of this damning detail, during a press conference Monday, Demings said, “I ask everyone to not rush to judgment and allow the investigation to be completed.”

Demings said that “because of the backdrop of everything happening in the country at this time… It’s concerning to me” how people might react to this shooting of an unarmed African American with his hands literally up in the air when he was shot.

Demings came to the defense of Sergeant McCarthy, saying that he only shot Bartee because he failed to comply with police commands. Apparently, this has now become the criterion for when police can use lethal force, even though it has no legal basis

I hope the brotha survives so he can sue the shit out of their police dept. in a civil case AND press charges on the asshole who shot him.

Can we get a count of how many incidents this year alone are like this with the police gunning down/fatally injurying/killing unarmed men?

Every city needs to form a league of black lawyers to vigorously peruse these cases, even if they defendant doesn't have money. Set a precedent. Go after every single case of a shooting. Don't publicize it until result are achieved.

If anything is done it will surprise me. There were eye witness in the Rekia Boyd case and the other victim that was shot did not get any justice. They said in that case it was job related stress.

There is no doubt that we are in the lions den right now. Blacks all over with a little money should be trying to start some kind of business with the buy black and organize slogan and we all start trying to work together. I do what I can where I am at. One of my web sites ask for information (that way I can contact a person to see if we can work together). When the killing finally comes to your state or city or community will you be ready??? It is just like Minister Farrakhan say, If there is someone righteous here let him raise his hand and stand up so he can sit down. Because if a person is righteous he does not have to beg for all this mercy from someone else.

Chances of a conviction is slim as there is really no way to prosecute the cop for wrong doing.

Police Killing of Unarmed Native American Continues To Receive Little Media Attention​

The tragic case of Corey Kanosh, 35, has received very little media attention, in spite of the growing outrage over police shootings of unarmed, innocent citizens. In Corey’s case, we are not dealing with an African American man shot by white cops, but an unarmed Native American man who was suspected of crimes that he was later proven innocent of, who was given only seconds before police opened fire on him.

Corey was a member of the Paiute Tribe of Utah. In spite of the historical injustices committed by the State against Native Americans, his story has received virtually no national attention. Now, his friends and family have been pushing to move the legal process forward, but so far they have only raised a tiny amount of money.

“The hold up on progressing has been due to lack of money to fund the oh so dreaded legal process,” they explain. “We need your help. Please help us on our way to get this case back up and ready. It’s time to take on the unwilling non-cooperative Millard County Sheriffs Department.”

Corey was shot by a Millard County sheriff’s deputy after he was wrongly suspected of car theft.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Lindsay Mitchell explained that a 911 call was made about the theft of a car from the Kanosh Paiute Indian Reservation. But Corey had nothing to do with that.

Police claim that Corey tried to fight off the deputy who attempted to handcuff him for crimes that he never committed. This raises the question of when self-defense is acceptable against police who attack us without probable cause. Was Corey justified in trying to defend himself? Do you believe the official story?

I think you would have to be selective in which cases to take. Most of these dude have a rap sheet a mile long, leading people to not give a fuck.

But for the ones who have no history would be the cases they should take.

Just because someone has a history of crime or violent crimes does not mean their life is not important but there past makes it difficult to get justice.

I AM NOT advocating anything violent, but nothing gets attention from the other side than an equal risk of lost of life or something as equally important to them, which is money. They ain't giving a fuck about us, because they have no skin in the game.

This is florida. A witnessing citizen should have shot the cop in defense of the suspect.

Honestly, cops dont give a fuck. All this protesting means absolutely nothing to them. There is no accountability to this shit. Until cops start dropping they wont blink an eye or think twice about killing unarmed human beings.

this is the most interesting detail of the article. they did not say the man was a SUSPECT. he was shot during an INVESTIGATION. which means this guy might have been walking down the street, or in the vicinity minding his own business.

this is going to get uglier real fast.

when you're already slaughtering people, those people eventually lose the fear of dying.
