Flash and his homeboy benches 520 with a spotter

This topic is funny.

Flash, the homegrown you used to post looked like pure d shit, so I wouldn't brag about those hoes

My suggestion is to do some cardio. It annoys me when dudes go there and just lift.

my nigga fuck outta here with that bullshit.. u got more ass and titties than kat stacks:hmm:(no homo)

u a fat swole nigga.. who u foolin:rolleyes: drop that weight and get healthy!

You couldn't even bench your own body weight but talkin shit?:lol::lol::lol:

son, I don't have to lie about the amount of weight I bench.
when I go to the beach
I don't have a problem walking around without my shirt on.

you don't have to bench 400 lbs to have great chest development.
that is a fact.
moderate weight and high intensity is going to build more muscle than high weight, low reps and zero intensity.
that is a fact.

Dude, you seriously don't know what you're talking about.

That's genetics and not anything special you're doing.

If you can't bench your body weight and you work out regularly something is wrong. :smh:

I think you dudes is misunderstanding me.
I am sure when I was at 275 I could bench my body weight and even more.
but
I never did a 1 rep max.
I never felt the need too.
I always get gains when I lift
so
I don't need to justify why I'm lifting by doing a 1 rep max on the bench press.
don't see the point.
anyway
I'm done with this thread.

Propz to you playa the bench in it self was a bit improper( bouncing that weight off the chest) but still impressive never the less. I would seriously encourage you and the other guy to consider dropping your weight though by getting into more cardio active activity this will help you lean out so the babes can see the strength you possess and increase your stamina.Good job.

It seems everu=yone on BGOL has Hulk like strength, am the only one benching small numbers. I think some of posters are flat out lying.

I fully understand where you are coming from but the thread wasn't about bitches and putting out lean muscle.

I and a couple of others mentioned that we don't bench much...I can hardly bench press 135lbs anymore...

But I can incline bench press 100lb DB's in each hand for 10 reps at will now. I also repped 405lbs for 3 on the chest press machine.

Props.

I know where my limits are and would never attempt that much on a bench. Maybe just once on a Smith's machine - but never free baring it.

And to all the clowns in here, I don't think you understand the sort of focus and raw strength you need to get that much weight up and down at least 1x. We're talking about A QUARTER TON here, fellas. You have to respect that.

It's not getting it up part that's the hardest, it's the negative side - the coming DOWN that takes the most concentration and weakens muscles the fastest because we're not design to deal with high weight on the contraction side. The explosion and expansion side is what our muscles are designed for.

Anyone who has tried some power lifting knows what I'm talking about. That last inch on the way down before you hit your chest - that's the killer. You have no leverage and your muscles are fully contracted, then you have to reverse motion to the expansion side.

Yeah Ok nigga. You don't know me. I workout with cats all the time that are on diet plans that they follow perfect. I'm on one of those as well and i do tons of cardio. I have no hate for someone that bust their ass to get fit because I'm one of them.

Props.

Some conversations you need to stay out of, because it's pretty obvious you don't know what the fuck you're talking about right now :smh:

Congrads...but like said before it some big guys in the gym.they can Bench all types of weight.then you look at there stomach and it looks like there having a baby.I say if your big cut up and if you small bulk up.Iam 6'2 180lb and very cut up,women love that shit.Y'all remnd me of defensive linemen

Ihearu

Do what u do playboy. I only maxed out at 465, but that's when I was sculpting. Now I need to get in the gym and "just do it".

that's a lot of weight. congrats. if a motorcycle ever falls on top of you, i imagine you'd have no problem getting out from underneath!

LMAO at fat swole tho

What you benching now? Should be about 400 lbs.

Flat Bench max - 465lbs. - repping 315lbs.
Incline Bench max - 405lbs. - repping 315lbs.
Dumbbell Shoulder Press max - 125lbs. each - repping 120lbs.
Barbell Shoulder Press max - 275lbs. - repping 225lbs.
Barbell Shoulder Shrugs max - 495lbs - repping 405lbs.
T-bar row - 270lbs.
Squat max - 495lbs. - repping 405lbs.
Leg Press max - 1200-1300lbs. - repping 900lbs.

What are YOU doing? :hmm:

the spotter did all the work.
fuck outta here.
even at my biggest 6'6" 275 the most I was benching was 260lbs but I had great chest development.

it ain't about the weight, it is about doing the bench press properly.

I feel you, but only 260lbs @ 6'6", 275??? I'm 5'6", 175 and I can snatch 260 about 4-5 times, with proper technique.

Like you said, it's about the technique not the weight so much, which I completely agree with. But I would think a dude as big as you might have said 360lbs, not 260lbs.

Thats a shitload of weight. I did 405 one time...Anything 100 lb over your bodyweight means your a strong motherfakker...even 50 lbs over your bodyweight means your fakking strong.

Right now I do crossfit so I am doing something completely different.

Congrats on the big weight.

:lol::lol::lol:
"bird chest"
nigga
it's called being ripped up..
there ain't nothing you can tell me about building muscle son.
I been there, done that.

props negreau im 220 ..need to be 210

6'3" slightly cut...cant bench shit ..maybe 200lb :smh:

pecs and guns on the beach its a wrap

working on my abs again

its all about what you want to achieve seriously

i like agility / mobility so i never wanted to bulk up

not to say big dudes cant move

Im not down with a gut though

the spotter did all the work.
fuck outta here.

dude. no hate but if u think that is an accomplishment it is not.

you weren't even beching your own body weight. once you can bench your body weight for reps you can be considered strong. great chest development at 275 does not equal only benching 265.

not trying to clown.

I don't understand what your issue is, but you do know that most muscle failures happen on the way DOWN during the negative. How many times have you seen someone blow all their energy down and can't get the bar off their chest?

You've exceeded your max. The strongest muscle in your arm is your TRICEP which is an expansion muscle. Your tricep can easily outpower your bicep which is a contraction muscle. Pecs, traps, shoulders, lats are all primarily expansion muscles as well which can help your triceps during a bench press.

When your tricep runs out of energy, you're fucked - biceps aren't really helping much but your other muscle groups can pause the weight while you get out the way or wait for a spotter.

That's why when weight training, a good trainer will make you focus on the negative part of the rep and small slow movements just as much as the positive part.

For some reason, this lil nigga comes to mind when I read Heist's posts.

He's 6'6", you're 5'6". You have a distinct advantage on a flat bench press over him. You're comparing apples to oranges bro.

With that being said, this is a funny ass thread all around.

LMAO!
That would be a pretty good analogy in some instances, yeah. But I'd MUCH rather be compared to him than I would to Foghorn. I remember those cartoons with him and Foghorn.

Foghorn Leghorn:
= Loud mouth blow hard who didn't really know shit outside of what his pappy taught him or what some guy told him as opposed to understanding the facts or science behind it.

= 90% of most of the dudes on BGOL.

But you still never said where I was wrong, Complex. :dunno:
