Favorite AFROBEAT SONG 2021

it projects well. I have never had it turned up all the way. Crystal clear sound and cheaper than the JBL and is more compact for travel. Search online for pics, info and customer reviews. I bought the indoor one first when I was in IKEA one day because it was sounding real good and it was $100 so I was a fan.
What about the JBL?

Put me on. I've heard a coupla songs and that shit is wavy as fuck.

These mixes dope! Listening to them now I realize Amapiano incorporates jazz, african drum, r&b or whateva that early Weeknd vibe was called.

I'm not as familiar with individual Amapiano artists because I think its more about the beat & vibe, that's why there's always a long mix. Like Fela Kuti used to have 30-45 minute songs

Its hard to not move listening to this

The site is claiming its the biggest afrobeats fest. I thought Afrochella in Ghana at the end of the year was the biggest.

That's a powerful lineup! Burna Boy, Rema, Juls, Reekado Banks, Wizkid, and bout 30 mo'!

But why in Portugal?! Fuck dem CACs, they always tryna co-op & appropriate our shit!

I haven't checked out the new stuff yet. I'll give it a shot, but you must know, "Water" set the bar unfairly high.
expand...
Oh! I'm familiar.
I thought you was talking about something Kayanation aka "water" posted.

To your point, yea Fela is the Father of all Afrobeats & AfroFusion. He did amazing job of melding traditional african elements of music with contemporary concepts, format & delivery. And seemingly effortlessly

Man, he did aight but I like the version without the white boy. I feel like they robbed us of the opportunity to enjoy this song & video without CACs touching it, even though I know it was out long before this video, it just seem like the youtube views don't reflect how much burn it deserved prior to.

This is the video with next highest views at 11M

What about the JBL?

The JBL is huge. Do a dimensional comparison. The Sonos is small with great sound. Reminds you of a Bose without the high cost. JBL It is like the old school cassette deck boom box radio Raheem walked around with. No joke you need a strap. If you want size the JBL will work for you. I noticed the JBL when I was in Miami South Beach last Memorial Day. I like the small Sonos better since it's easy to carry in luggage and you can hang it from an umbrella when at the beach or pool.

I'm looking for a big one for the house, I have two Oontz Bluetooth Angle 3 Ultra speakers for travel & beach.
Which model JBL you got?

I did not get the JBL since I have a cheaper Sonos and Bose for in house but can be used outdoors but not water proof. The small Sonos you can move around in the house anywhere and is waterproof for outdoors. I went to the JBL website and searched for bluetooth portable speakers to look at the latest. They have different price point. $300+ for the best ones.
