How far will they project? I'm looking for a good sounding, well made speaker for yard/garden, I need something while working on the Ranch.

it projects well. I have never had it turned up all the way. Crystal clear sound and cheaper than the JBL and is more compact for travel. Search online for pics, info and customer reviews. I bought the indoor one first when I was in IKEA one day because it was sounding real good and it was $100 so I was a fan.
