That ABC show block - Head of the class, Full House, Perfect strangers, Family matters was the building blocks of "The Disney Channel". Most of the writers and producers migrated to Disney and Nickelodeon after that era wrapped up.
You see the same goofy sci-fi antics there that was a staple on ABC in the 90's.

They should do a movie like Revenge of the Nerds Part 3. Lewis got cool as hell, wore Armani suits and lived in a big house. His nephew came to him for help because he was getting fucked up by jocks at Adams College. Lewis had to go back to being a nerd to save his nephew.

Somma you fools are stupid as shit. They DO need to bring this show back. Lose all the cheesy science fiction shit, and make it a black family sitcom/dramedy show.
Set it up as Steve and Laura as the married couple with them and their family and 4 kids as the focal point of the show. Bring back all the supporting and main cast as supporting cast. Have a have a black girl attractive/smart/studius next door neighbor nerdlike but not OVERLY nerdy. This time its a girl in pursuit of Steve and Laura's cool/somewhat of a nerd out but highly intelligent son.
No moistness and nobody dressing in drag with that Murdel Urkel, catshit.
They need to setup the positive but highly successful black family dynamic, but as a sitcom/dramedy. Bring back the old cast as supporting characters. Black people NEED to see that shit on TV. If they did it right, put in the right directors and writers, that would be the most watched black show on black TV and it would make mad bank. that show was on for damn near 11 years back in the late 80s all the way through the late 90s. The remake update of the Cosby show needs to come back with the old cast and new supporting cast too. Family matters was a really good show, and its remake really needs to come back as a shining example of the black family dynamic should be.
