It's just a microcosm of real life. You see folks attacking famous people on social media to the point where some famous people don't utilize social media at all. It's ridiculous, because most of us came from a time where famous people weren't even palpable, now you can reach out and touch them , and sometimes they'll respond to you

I'm not disagreeing but I really doubt a girl who did one scene, especially more than a decade ago, is going to have a hard time finding employment just because of that.

I'm going to say a criminal record, any criminal record however long ago, is much more a hindrance in getting employment than doing porn. We know a lot these chicks do have criminal records when people be posting up their mugshots.

If you're going to give credit to a non-Black person for creating the Black porn industry, why not credit Ed Powers? His Black Debutantes series had to have had a large influence in increasing market share for Black women in porn. And I'm sure he launched Jake Steeds career if I'm not mistaken.

Ed's platform was a launching pad for a lot of great female talent. But other than Jake, he didn't really bring male talent to the fore. I know a lot of weirdos round here get really upset and freak out if you mention male pornstars, but they were essential to the development of the Black porn industry.

Also, Ed didn't have swag. I think the movies that TT (and even Woodburn) made, as well as the other great Black producers of the time of course... they brought a certain sense of style to their productions that made them feel very different from what was in the mainstream. That's why I say yes, there was Black porn before... but not a Black porn INDUSTRY.
