“To this day, I have not been invited to a BET thing or a Source Awards thing,” he explained.” And it’s like, here is a Black artist who has reintroduced many Black art forms, who has broken down barriers—just like those that came before me broke down, that is positive. And they don’t have anything to say about it?”

Kravitz continued on to question why his work was “not celebrated by the folks who run those publications or organizations.” He added, “I have been that dream and example of what a Black artist can do.”

Although he is disappointed in the lack of recognition he did make sure to add, “I’m not here for the accolades.”

“I’m here for the experience,” he concluded.

The fuck???? Sounds like he's getting what he wants.

I like some of his songs in the 90s but his grain of music doesn’t crossover too well in the black community. Black people invented rock ‘n’ roll but Lenny Kravitz music mostly appeals to suburban/grunge white people. A few Black people, but mainly white people.

I'd have to agree. The reason people are talking about 3 stacks is the total departure from his past work that his flute lp makes.

Comparing prime Lenny and stacks is comparing Rap to R&R - apples and oranges.

I strongly agree with that. Those two should not be compared.

Lenny is very talented but he needs understand he's in his lane because of his last name and not his talents.

He and Drake are real funny guys. Both been in the music business for damn near 20 years each.

Made all the money and gotten most of the accolades. Fucked more industry pussy than most men could handle. Yet, are still acting insecure in ways that confuses me as a black man.

Still looking for love from audiences they don't cater to. Why would a rock singer be invited to a Rap Awards show?

I could understand if he was a young artist but why act as if you are so great that black people are disrespectful by not recognizing your great achievements amongst white people.

If you want the people to love you then you have to show love first, even when you are rejected a few times. Lenny ain't never had a problem chasing white love, let's see if he really wants black love or if this is a PR stunt for attention.

Yep. And he's, I guess, complaining about not being invited to events that have nothing to do with R&R. I don't get it.
God forgive me for saying this comment because he had good parents, but that’s his white side creeping into the picture.
