its a smart move because he's 6 years younger than dampier (32), he's a tough defender, blocks shots, and he won't demand anywhere near the $11M-12M a year dampier does over the next two years. despite his offensive limitations, he's a good backup.
i'm surprised jr smith isnt higher on that list. he showed out in the playoffs and can flat out shoot.

Yea when I seen JR beastin' I thought he'd end up gettin' 8 or 9 million a year. Dude was playin' for that contract. Another high school cat who's starting to come along. I'd take a chance him. IMO, talent-wise he's one of the best out there.
The lakers need to sign him back to backup Bynum. He's a perfect back up center As long as he rebounds and plays defense.

diop is way better defensively. that's what dallas needs. size and defense. sign diop on the cheap and get into the luol deng or jr smith sweepstakes with the quickness.

He may be a little bit better but not way better defensively...thats about one of the only thing Kwame can do well is bang down there on defense...and he is a way better scoring option...not saying much but still we need more points from the 5 position...I like the JR Smith idea...he probably won't be able to get nothing but the midlevel and he is a steal at that price...read the article though brah Diop will not be signed on the cheap
