This is your definition of a bum its only 5 games into the season.:hmm:

damn 5 games after missing all of last year to achilles injury and you are calling him a bum. You are such a patient one.

And if Miller takes more than 10 shots again Im really going to lose it.

If you want a guy that can get you 20 points and 10 Rebounds. He is the guy.

But, is he worth the money ? and can he get you to the EASTERN CONF. FINALS ?

given the tremendous NEED the 76ers had for frontcourt help (in scoring and rebounding), and given the free agent landscape of available players, who else could they have gotten for the same (or less) money?

the gamble is on elton brand producing at a level near to what he performed at before the injury.

Besides, with the shape of the Eastern Conf. the Sixers are still likely to go fifth or sixth in the playoff.

Miller has to concentrate on finding these players the shot that they are comfortable with, rather than jacking up 24 shots in a game a la you know who. None of the starting 5 is gonna score 25+, but they can ALL score 15-19. With the 15 coming from Dalembert

The guy you should be looking at is Iguodala. Dude is overpaid.

You don't think Sam Dalambert is overpaid???

Miller is just a horrible shooter. Bad shooting percentage for a PG.

Philly has their work cut out for them. I think it was stupid for them to pay Elton Brand. Should have saved the money for Kobe Bryant, Carlos Boozer, or Ron Artest. Players who can make you instantly a contender.

Or waited until 2010 for LeBron or D Wade or Amare.

Miller isn't that bad, he's just a lazy offensive player. Lazy in that he will settle for the jumper instead of working to find the better shot for himself or his teammmates (a la Chris Paul or Steve Nash in today's NBA). Miller hasn't been a hustle player since his college days. Just doesn't work at being a good PG

TONIGHT! Andre Miller got it right. 29 minutes, 5 FGA

If he does that every night, Philly has a chance to knock off top seeds in the east. Only shots Miller should be taking is wide open layups and the occasional open jumper to keep defenders honest

Even though it was only against OKC, tonight's games may be a microscosm of the way Sixers will run their offense. With Thaddeus Young as 1st option. Brand SECOND with Iggy as the slasher

historically, andre miller's achilles heel has been his FT shooting.

if we're talking basketball (and not jersey sales or TV ratings) tobe is not worth half the money he gets now.

carlos boozer is a good player, but is too small to play his position.

ron artest's offensive decision making leaves a lot to be desired.

lebron james is a pipe dream for all but a very short list of teams.

dwyane wade i'd consider chasing.

amare stoudemire has boatloads of unrealized potential and may never become the player people think he is.

Re: Elton Brand

This team sucks

still plagued by the same problem as last year, only it's gotten worse. LACK OF PERIMETER SHOOTING.

last year the 76ers finished 11th (above league average) in FG%. This year? 22nd. With no outside threat(s) to speak of, opponents can pack the paint.

i'm glad they picked up elton brand, but they should've addressed the lack of outside shooting as priority ONE.

and in case anyone was wondering how the 76ers finished in 3FG% last season? 30th. dead LAST.

this season? 25th. still well below league average.

They painted themselves into a corner giving Brand and Iggie max contracts. No way i give Iggie a max. Should have let him see what's out there first.

Good analysis. It's up to Thaddeus Young to give them an outside game. It damn sure ain't gonna be Dre. But it is up to Miller to get his outside guys the shots that they can make

Even though Raymond Felton can't shoot that well (streaky), he's available and more capable of finding the open man IN RHYTHYM and he also doesn't SETTLE for the jumper nearly as much as Miller does. If I were Epstein, I'd look at the deal

Andre Miller: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

tonight Elton Brand scores 27 for the new coach, guess he needs a master that'll crack the whip in order to play harder. And how many times did Miller shoot?? He was credited with 4 FGAs in 38 minutes!!
:hmm:
