I wonder if he got some heat for wearing that shirt. During his speech he said something about we have to be "careful not to provoke cops" or something along those lines. I was thinking did the people on the shirt provoke cops? It just seemed to be a strange statement to make after wearing a shirt like that.
NFL execs more than likely had a talk with him about upsetting race soldiers. The victims on his shirt are their "trophy" killings.
Ed Reed said he wrote his speech while waiting on stage so he was jumping around back and forth. But he mentioned that a cop stopped him and he was about to get loud with him cause he wasn't doing anything. But the cop said he has seen him around and knows he is into sports and he doesn't need to be hanging around with these knuckleheads and he will drive him home. And he said no my moms is home its best to just take me to jail. He was trying to say if he provoked that cop he is not sure what would of happened.

I believe you missed the context there. His point was to articulate how blacks have to walk a tightrope just not to get killed. And that we arent valued or treated equally and respectfully.
