Danske Bank economists believe that Beyoncé's decision to start her world tour in Stockholm in May caused a surge in local hotel prices, which in turn contributed to Swedish inflation exceeding expectations.
The opening two concerts of Beyoncé's Renaissance tour in Stockholm sold out, and fans from around the world flocked to the Swedish capital. Anecdotal evidence suggests that many of the 46,000 people attending each night had to stay well outside of the city centre at highly elevated prices.
