E3 2017 | Electronic Entertainment Expo

i use my xbox for multiplats and ps4 for exclusives. i always make sure i get every major game system cuz i dont like missing out on exclusives. thats what my ps4 is for. but like some of you i barely use it cuz im usually on my xbox. i could never fully like the ps controller. the dreamcast and original xbox made me like microsoft's controller designs more. every since the ps1/saturn days not too many games had a big enough graphical difference to warrant one version of a game over another. i hope sony dont do what they always do and show a bunch a games that dont come out for over a year. i hate that about them. with that said maybe this is the year my playstation gets used more than once every couple of months.

:inlove: love this chick:cool:

Yeah I think that's my problem with my PS4... I never cut it on and the when I do I have to wait through the update of the console.

But yeah... I use XB1 for all my media shit.

yep!

I be having that shit off for so long that whenever I do turn it on it's time for an update...then I just get frustrated and let it update while I play my XB1 instead and just never make my way back to playing it

if my games weren't all digital I'd have traded it in ages ago

Reading the twitter comments... I'm tripping out that it seems that I'm the only one that loved what I saw on the E3. Granted... I would like to see more first party exclusives but to be on the real.. they just don't have the studios and Microsoft literally has no reason to spend Sony money for the exclusives. Sony doesn't have a choice... PlayStation is literally the only thing that is making money for them. PlayStation can't fail... but Microsoft gets your money either through the Xbox or the PC. So I don't mind the cross party games. I just want a console that brings me closer to a PC without having to be a PC.

And it seems like People aren't even factoring in all the shit that Xbox 1 can do that you can't do on a PlayStation.. Still waiting on Kodi though.

I'm curious about how much money Sony is spending on these exclusives... Capcom and Spider-Man could not have been cheap at all.

There are always new revisions of these consoles dropping every 2 years are so, so there is no point. If you have a decent 1080p tv by the time you upgrade to 4K there will be a Xbox x2/slim.

That is true... that's why I don't always upgrade. Still I like the internal power of this thing ... I'm probably never going to upgrade to 4K. Hell Japan was selling 8k tvs a couple years ago... I'm cool with what I got. But it would be nice to play Xbox one games in 1080p and 60fps. Current Xbox one drops frames on a lot of games.

Yeah racers don't mean shit. They all look good.

Technology has come so far that driving in these games has become too realistic. Arcade racers like Sega Daytona and Outrun or Midway's Cruising USA have fallen by the wayside. When was the last time you saw a steering wheel with pedals controller for any Console on the shelf? That being said Forza in 4k is amazing. The challenge for any 4k system is can I tell the difference between the 4k version and 1080p. I have a Samsung 4k set which I purchased because it was on sale for $600 and I didn't care about 4k at the time. I am hard pressed to tell the difference although I can see it in some content. (I think).

See I think you have a great point about the Dreamcast factor... I was a huge dream cast fanboy and the controller was basically perfect... the Xbox controller just feels like the natural evolution of that controller.

And you are right I just use my PS4 for exclusives... still haven't bought Horizon Dawn yet though.

Its just the way it is. Microsoft has a game only for XB1 and PC releasing within months and people say well I'll just get a PC. Sony shows a fuckin kickstarter for Shenmue with no date and also comes on PC (as well as FF7 Remake) and they automatically win E3.

yep!

Man this is fucking truthtwomillion.com....

Every fucking time... I cut it on... 40 fucking minutes of updating. So I go to my Xbox to watch Netflix and then I end up forgetting I even had it on.

I'm not going to lie... I got sucked into Shenmue. It better fucking come out next year.

Not to mention that it was expensive to make back in the Dreamcast days and now it is only a Kickstarter.

Totally agreed... my kids play the playstation way more than me...if they didn't I would sell it

Yeah I'd have no problem with it but you opening yourself up doing shit like that. Hell if I had my way all of these main characters in video games would be black.

I'm nots sure where the story goes but had they had something along the lines of a guy being framed for something he didn't do and was trying to break himself out of prison then that probably could've worked.......though it would be a story we've beaten to death already.
We'll see where it goes. It's all about gameplay, character development and gameplay. We should keep our eye on it.

man who you telling. the best thing about the dreamcast/xbox controllers for me is the triggers, especially for racing games. i got so many ps4 exclusives i need to play and beat i might as well just watch the story videos on youtube. i gotta get horizon zero dawn. i gotta play the whole uncharted trilogy before i even get the next 2 games. i havent beat last of us and i need to do that before the second one comes out. i barely play street fighter 5 cuz of no good single player modes cuz i dont like gaming online. maybe some of these game i can try to get to over the summer since i dont have so many shows to watch like in the fall and winter.

the best thing they could do for the original xbox is just make a good emulator instead of how they doing the bc now. but i understand their process to make sure there isnt any compatibility problems. its just gonna take too long for them to get to some of the games i would wanna play again from the og xbox. like sonic heroes or mk: deadly alliance/deception. i should mod my xbox and just play games that way. i hear it isnt too hard to do.

Microsoft proud of Xbox One X price
“We built this to be a premium product.”

The $499 price point for the Xbox One X may have taken some of the wind out of the sails of Xbox fans when it was announced at E3, but Microsoft says it’s “proud of the pricing.”

In an interview following the Xbox E3 press conference Sunday night, Aaron Greenberg, head of Xbox games marketing, joined Geoff Keighley on is Live at E3 show to discuss the new iteration of the Xbox One console.

Shortly into his appearance on the show, Keighley asked Greenberg about the pricing which he described as “double the price of an Xbox One S.”

“What’s your message to the Xbox community?” he asked.

“We’re proud of the pricing,” Greenberg said. “The fact is we designed this to be a premium product that has the most power, the most performance that has ever been seen, no compromises; true 4K gaming.

“Look at something like Forza that is delivering that native 4K, 60 frames per second. That takes an incredibly powerful GPU. That takes a lot of memory. That takes really unique design. So we designed it with no compromises. We did not build this to be a low price box. We built this to be a premium product for people that want the very, very best console games they’ve ever seen.”

The Xbox One X hits Nov. 7 for $499 and will include support for enhanced visuals such as 4K and HDR video. Microsoft said that 35 existing games will receive a free upgrade to take advantage of the new tech, with more to come.
