Dwight Howard says the Magic Blackmailed him

Dwight has lost it.

Situation so far. Dwight called the NBPA on his own and told them his case and ask them what can they do. They told him nothing at best he has to demand a trade or take it to court. Dwight is choosing court.

Dwight situation is this if he goes to court he could get his contract void and have to sit out a year.

Now the players union are saying they will step in???? This is getting ugly Stern looks like che might have to step in. Dwight won't work with orlando he keeps saying Nets. Word is Deron told Dwight his plans and that the Nets are not waiting on him anymore.

Here is where everyone is saying "what". Why didn't dwight bring his case to the nbpa when it happen hell when he was hurt????

He waited 30 fucking mins before free agency open to drop this bomb

Daman u guys did it to urself

And this big non-free throw shooting muthafucka had the nerve to question what Lebron did?

His big wishy washy ass is making me sick.

I'm say this. I'm always obejective. I'm a nets fan but a basketball fan first.

This is bad. I know dwight is demanding a trade to my team but this is fucked up for the nba. Orlando is a fucking joke. You fire your coach and gm. Give in to all of dwight demands for him to basically say fuck u and then tell the world u blackmailed him.

This is why u move dwight day one. Otis knew this but the owner veto it. Now Devos is on the radio saying dwight is immature.

We knew this. This is the hore u bet on and if he is traded to the nets I expect the same shit at some point.

Orlando did it to their self.

If I'm dwight I work out a deal for LA or the Bulls but he is too scared to play on those teams.

He is fuckin orlando. Dude if isn't move will fake a back injury watch. Just watch.

He made his bed as did orlando and as did the nets for chasing him. Time to go to sleep

Lol @ niggas needing to be traded to other teams to get a ring

Kobe and Jordan never were traded.

Jordan didn't win shit until he got Scotty Pippen.

Kobe couldn't win shit without an inside presence and was whining to be traded after Shaq left.

Why is wanting to win and taking the initiative to go and do that being lampooned?

Do you want niggas to clown yo ass if you leave your shit job to go make more money and be more successful elsewhere?

You know your actin weird when Brandon Jennings calls you out for acting weird:lol:

But really though Dwight is being a spoiled child and it's Orlando's fault for appeasing him until now. Idk how they could even manage a Nets trade but I could see them shipping him out to the bulls or LA for pieces and him having to shut the fuck up and just play.

The quicker Dwight realizes that his "nice guy" image is toast, the better off he'll be. Also, I thought it was gay for the Magic to bring Howard's parents into the mix when they were trying to get him to stay. At one point, management invited Howard to dinner, and shortly after he arrived, guess who shows up unexpectedly  ? His parents! What were the odds?! :hmm: Management even put his moms on a conference call to him. What kind of childish shit is that?! On the other hand, Howard should grow the fuck up. He's ALWAYS known that he wanted to leave, but somehow, this big ass bitch seemed to have misplaced his nuts to say so and stick with it when he had the chance. :smh: The only victims in this are the fans. The Magic AND Howard are both assholes.

Idk I think he is worth about 15+ the plus being that he is young and knows what he is doing as a center so you the team would have time to build around him. Also give him credit for not taking it automatically and giving the pacers an opportunity to sign him to something else.

That right there should have made Howard realize he needed to get the uck out of Orlando and never resigned that opt in

Dudes are upset cuz the blueprint their idols set, these new players like LeBron dont care for and aint following to the tee. They grew up looking up to a fugazi dude (Kobe) imitating another man (MJ) and think thats the only way to be successful. There's a reason people ain't looking for the "next Kobe Bryant" or the "next Isiah Rider".

This world of "free agency" is a difficult one for the casual fan to understand. There has been NO FREE AGENCY since 96. "FREE AGENCY" means exactly that. You are penalized money and years under the CBA's in effect the last 16 years if you decide to take your talents to another team. That isn't FREE AGENCY. In true "FREE AGENCY" a player who doesn't have a contract is FREE to sign with whomever wants to pay him/her whatever amount THEY FEEL he's worth.

The salary cap is another method of keeping players salaries down, while allowing teams to keep money in the owners pockets. Players like Lebron would be worth $70M plus per year on an open market if true "FREE AGENCY" is allowed. This is mind boggling for the casual fan to understand but make no mistake about it. Owners WOULD pay it, GLADLY. Because the players are worth it.

MLB is the last major sport in the US with FREE AGENCY. There's no less parity in baseball then the other sports. It's just a big ole lie. It's on a larger scale but it's simply a manner in which the establishment can justify not paying their talent/labor force what it's truly work.

"Why would a team blackmail a player it wants to keep?" Are you serious. That's the most simple question imaginable. If the player doesn't want to stay with you and you have a new arena that was built with the hopes that your star will fill it every night, you might do what you need to do to keep him as long as you can. It's been made clear to Otis, Alex and the Devos family that Dwight wanted out a looooooooooong time ago.

Unfortunately for the Magic, Dwight has decided to stop living in fear in regards to his image and is willing to FIGHT BACK. This is an extremely dirty/foul game and sometimes you can't remain pristine if you don't wanna get screwed over.

Again, I repeat: "Dwight Howard WILL BE a Brooklyn Net player". Those silly enough to believe the Nets have moved on are delusional. That is nothing more than a ploy/shot at the Magic to let them know that enough is enough. They made them offers last year that included Robin Lopez and 4 first round picks. The Magic have ZERO leverage at this point and will pay for the misdeeds. That franchise is gonna be set back 4-5 years because of this flawed chess move they played.

Just sit back and watch...

:smh::smh:

You the only dumbass "idolizing" another grown man in your sig....that is all...:hmm::hmm:

Kobe fans somehow ignore this fact.... It just didn't happen in their eyes. Funny you're the only one on here to shoot that bs down. Congrats

Where did you get that from that he forced the trade? Sounds like a made-up story to get props from the resident kobe-haters...

Y'all fake cranrab niggas are funny...

Kobe WAS traded... He was a Charlotte Hornet before he forced a trade.

The fuck are you talking about? Just making up shit to get e-props for feeding the fake cran-rab trolls on here....Check your facts before making up shit, idiot....:hmm::hmm:

When you look back at the 1996 draft, it’s always weird to realize Kobe Bryant went No. 13 to the Charlotte Hornets. For one thing, the Charlotte Hornets don’t exist anymore. For another, Kobe Bryant is such a Mr. Laker that it’s so weird to see him in a Hornets draft hat. Plus, guys like Todd Fuller, Samaki Walker and Lorenzen Wright went before him. He’s one of the best players ever, but he went thirteenth. It’s just odd, even though it made a lot of sense back then that NBA teams would be skeptical of a high school guard.
And skeptical they were. Just check out this exchange Kobe had with then-Clippers GM Elgin Baylor. From the New York Post:
Twice he worked out for Clippers’ GM Elgin Baylor … and coach Bill Fitch. After the second, the two dream weavers invited Bryant to lunch.
“They told me it was the two best workouts they’d ever seen,” he said. “That’s it, I figured, I was going be a Clipper and play in L.A. I was pumped!”
Before Bryant had finished his fantasy, his magic carpet ride crashed. Out of nowhere, Baylor and Fitch flipped the switch.
“Your skill level is off the charts. Your athleticism is exceptional. And your energy and enthusiasm are remarkable,” they gushed. “But we can’t draft you.”
Huh? What! Why not?
“Because people out here won’t think we’re serious if we draft a high school kid at No. 7.”
And this is why the Clippers have always been the Clippers. Passing up on Kobe — not a sure thing by any means, but they still obviously know he had potential coming out the face — to take Lorenzen Wright is the kind of classic Clippers whoopsies that has always made them Los Angeles’ second-best team. Though to be fair, they did eventually trade Lorenzen Wright for Quentin Richardson AND Chris Wilcox (who turned in to Vladimir Radmanovic) so everything worked out just fine.
But at least they had a reason, no matter how stupid it is. The Clippers were a joke of a franchise, so if they were trying to gain some league-wide respect, at least you can understand where they were coming from. The Hornets though, they really had no idea what was going on.
At some point soon after the Hornets selected Bryant with the No. 13 pick, [Dave Cowens and Bryant] had a private phone conversation that went something like this.
Cowens: “You know what the deal is, right?
Kobe: “Yes, I do.”
Cowens: “Well, that’s good, because we don’t need you anyway.”
Just for the record, the Hornets’ guards back in the 1996-97 season were Muggsy Bogues, Dell Curry, Tony Smith (?), Tony Delk and 37-year-old Ricky Pierce. I am as big of a fan of Muggsy and Tony Delk’s hilariously long arms as the next guy, but it seems like Cowens might have been a little off on his quick dismissal of the future Hall of Famer. Plus, 15 seasons later, Kobe’s still doing his thing for the Lakers while the Hornets are starting Marco Belinelli. Obviously there’s no way to know if Kobe would have stayed with the Hornets this long, but who knows what happens post-Jordan if there’s no Kobe/Shaq pairing in Los Angeles.
Everybody makes draft mistakes. The whole thing is a crapshoot anyways. But passing on Kobe Bryant because you don’t want to look stupid or having some idea about not “needing” him are pretty good ways to guarantee you’ll have an article written about your error a decade-and-a-half down the road, especially if it’s pretty obvious you recognize his talent.
But who cares, five titles are boring anyways. Plus, do you realize how expensive all those championship parades are? Better to just skip that entirely and go on with your Lorenzen Wrights and Tony Smiths. Way good decisions.

I know exactly what I'm talking about, idiot.. He told them he was going to go play in Italy if he wasn't traded to the Lakers.. It is, what it is.. :dunno:
