Has anyone with severe allergies seen results from drinking lemon juice? Claritin and Zyrtec work a little bit for me but that shit gets expensive when your like me and have to take it everyday, sometimes two a day

Stop taking the OTC medicines. They are suppressing the symptoms, not the causes. Try natural remedies that you can find in your kitchen cabinet and you'll save yourself some money and time.

I wouldn't be one bit surprised if it helps you. As stated earlier in the thread, lemon water can help push your body to a more alkaline state, helping to flush out the mucous(mucous traps and moves toxins and other garbage away from the heart) in your body.

I used to suffer bad with allergies, until I started not only with lemon or alkaline water, but sea salt flushes and other natural solutions
wouldn't hurt to try it.

5 star post!

I've been on this for years now...with the exception of a rum & coke, I couldn't tell you the last time I had a soda. Me & the guys I eat lunch with drink water & lemon everyday at lunch..I KNOW the servers just think we're a bunch of cheap bastards and won't pay for drinks, and they're constantly refilling my water.

so much better for you...

This is misleading.
The nutrition facts of 1 teaspoon of juice v 109 grams of whole lemon?

What green tea do you buy?

And keep it simple I shop at Wal-mart...

Kirkland sentcha green tea 100pack from costco.
My doc and his wife are all into exotic teas and coffees from all over and said that's the only store bought green tea he drinks... for whatever thats worth.

I dont even know where I got the cranberry juice idea. I think I just decided to mix my 2 favorite drinks and it tasted ight so I ran with it. Plus I figure it has to be pretty good for me.

They don't sell that shit at Wal-Mart

I don't have a Costco where I live...

One of the many things Moms put me onto as a yute. Brothers out there that suffer from acid reflux substitute lemon water for soda, and you'll be good!!! Very informative post FLAWLESS, good shit!

limes (atleast they are around here) are cheaper and have more vitamins. So is grapefruit, not that im knocking lemons, some people dont like limes or grapefruit.

Alright I read that its bad for your teeth but I can easily fix that (drink with a straw).

Also it says drink as lukewarm water but I want my shit cold. Does it really matter?

I was told by a nurse to stop drinking lemon water cuz the acid breaks down the tooth enamel. Plus it's nasty. So, I stopped.

This a great thread, but I have a question: Does the ratio of water to lemon juice matter. For example if I have two quarts of water should I use 2 lemons?

Absolutely ... I just had me a tall glass of lemon water last night. I need to incorporate more into my teas. I used to drink alot of green tea in 2007. I need to get back to that as I tapered off my consumption as 2008 progressed.

LIME WATER is also pretty dope. Just add lime juice (from ReaLime, or whatever the brand is called).

I understand where you are getting at but that lemon juice, regardless of quantity has absolutely no benefits whatsoever except citric acid and very little effective abscorbic acid (vitamin c) left. Even if you drank half the bottle as compared to one lemon wedge (1/4 of lemon), that wedge would be way more nutrient packed than pasteurized juice from concentrate.

Basically, if something is made to sit on the shelf, they have to remove or add things to keep it from degrading. It's then only useful for cooking and seasoning but not for giving you the full benefit of it's nutrients. A good comparison that isn't so misleading is the nutritional facts for True Lemon (one packet) vs a teaspoon of lemon juice from concentrate. You still get Vitamin C from True Lemon. Still nothing from the concentrate.

My sister put me up on that freshly squeezed lemonade & sugar-free maple syrup detox/master cleanse diet last weekend, and I started it this week. I haven't had anything else in 5 days, and I don't even think about eating anymore. I literally don't get hungry or crave food at all.

I don't know if I'm supposed to take multi-vitamins with it for my nutrients, but I only have 5 more days anyway. I've dropped 17 pounds since the January 6th without stepping foot in a gym, and I feel like a million bucks.

Not healthy. If you want to lose weight/cleanse, it is safer to follow a vegan diet and drink plain water, in addition to becoming more active. If you want to add lemon to your water, that's alright.
