According to eye witness and employee reports he was over weight limit to ride and he was not properly secured.

They need to have a weight scale for people to check that would let a riders know they're passed the weight limit.

This shit could've been avoided.

Back in the 80s, my uncle and cousin tried to get on a stand-up ride at Kings Dominion. Now both of these dudes were over 270 and my cousin was easily 300. They couldn't strap him in and made him, or both them ninjas, get off the ride.

That's what should've happened here. Rides aren't built for everyone.
